When I fire my gun, it sounds like the gun is shooting a blank even though the bb is coming out of the barrel just like it was normal... could this be the piston head not making contact with the bb properly making it sound like it is shooting a blank..?

Does the bb travel normal?

The piston head may be cracked. Hows the compression or FPS of the gun looking? Still around 400FPS or lagging in the low 300's. If so then you are probably got a shot piston...

Has the sound changed compare to when it was new?  Was there a performance drop that alerted you to the problem?

Yes, it still shoots just as normal there is no performence drop that I have noticed but then again I haven't been shooting too much. It sounds like it is shooting a blank but it still shoots the bb as normal. Now as a side note, while trying to find the problem I did put my bucking in too far and it blocked bbs from entering into the hop up unit. even though the gun didnt fire out the barrel, it fed into it (and got stuck) but it sounded like a normal shot. Could I just be putting the bucking in wrong? And either way, does someone have a default picture of the bucking/barrel inside the hop up unit so I can compare it to what I have?

And I don't think it is a cracked piston or anything is broken... the sound start right after I removed the barrel for like two seconds just to see how it disassembled. I think it is a reassembly issue.

The inner barrel has a groove and the hop-up bucking has a raised notch that goes into that groove.  Additionally, the bucking has a nub that fits over the square hole on the barrel.  Push the bucking in all the way until it's flush.  The hop-up assembly should go on over that.  You can line up the assembly by looking at the two square looking grooves and make sure both are at the edge of the assembly opening.  Then you snap on the inner barrel retainer...it's a clip looking thing that fits into the assembly opening.

I know how to get the bucking onto the barrel... but when I put that into the hop up system and push all the way will it automatically line up or do I not push it in all the way...? Cause usually I just push it all the way because that is when the inner barrel retainer fits into place.
