I just don't want to put all this money into it and get the older version.

In middle of September/December you should be safe.

Most resellers add the new information on the weapon when they've got it.

Do you mean the 2009 G36s?

If so, I believe in another thread they said they were already out... as the G36s are on a different production schedule then the M4/M16 series.

Yeah they are already out  :)  But to make sure, call up airsoft gi and ask them to take one apart for you and check.  Yes they will do it for you if you beg  :lol:  maybe if they are nice enough.  Ask them to look for a 2G hop up bucking that looks like a fire fly bucking and look for a black gearbox shell
