I am an owner of a cqr mod 2. at this point most of the gun is customized besides the receiver. anyone that has had their hands on or seen a cqr knows the receiver quality is not the best. I've personally cracked mine in a couple places by the rear body pin and the trigger guard (happened when i replaced the trigger guard). i was looking to purchase the g&p pts aluminum advanced upper/lover receiver set. I'm willing to perform modifications if necessary unless anyone knows if there's a huge compatibility issue. Any other recommendations for good steel/ aluminum receivers would be great. But the receiver needs to have a removable trigger guard to accommodate for my ergo grip and needs to be 1 piece hop-up chamber compatible.  Thanks -swuav

Why not just buy a kwa full metal lower receiver.
I don't believe you can put a kwa GB into a G&P receiver since the GB is not TM spec.

I don't believe there are any hop ups that are compatible with kwa guns since they are 2gx and out of TM spec. If you want range look into r hop.

Purchasing the kwa receiver is possible but it doesn't have the trades and vltor style upper. As for hup-ups I'm set with a prowin cnc one piece that works spectacularly. I just need a new receiver that accepts a 1 piece hop up without having to remove the motor grip to seperate the receivers

I'm not sure if that works in a kwa aeg. Yes it's a fantastic hop up but I have not heard of anyone using these in kwa guns.

I had to dremel out a section of the lower and take out the feeding ramp. Also you need to replace the 2gx nozzle or you could probably dremel down part of the 2gx nozzle. After doing that it's a perfect fit with amazingly consistent shots. It feeds perfectly with k120 mags as w

Awesome! If you wanted to you could make a "how to" thread on this forum. How far does it shoot? I've got a&k sr-25 that shoots 300+ feet with only black python barrel and r hop.

You know I'll consider that! & I'm not exactly certain on max. range but fps is a consistent 360-365 with .20's with about a 4 inch spread at 40 meters with a standard kwa barrel, prowin hop up, 2gx bucking and angel custom H nub!

Nice, you should seriously consider r hop though, you can't beat 300ft range.

Is there a link for that on here Blatey? I might do that in the future. I have an 8X magnification scope and it doesn't do me any good unless I can reach out lol and accurately too.

I don't believe there is a thread for r hop on this forum. I was contemplating wether I should do a gbb pistol r hop thread.
My pistol now shoots 100+ feet with .3g bbs.

There is a HUGE R-Hop thread that is cold at the moment.  If I have a minute I'll dig it up and post here.
