You can see in the pic above a 12" rail will cover your outer barrel, it comes out to the bird cage (12" on the tape rule)
Your mod has a delta ring,  for free float the delta ring has to be changed to a barrel nut along with a free float rail. A BN wrench is needed for this, don't know how it will attach to your gun.

This is why i said it could be a costly upgrade!

SR7 notice the difference between the MOD2 delta ring & the SR7 barrel nut

I looked up on youtube how to install a free float rail, and came across this one: https://www.youtube....h?v=mfYpR6TLEMI Would this type of install be possible with the rail that I linked? I know it isn't the same one, but I figured with them both being free floats that the concept would be the same. If not, what all parts would I need? I found a cheap barrel nut wrench for $10, but if I can do what the guy in the video did, that would be great.

EDIT:
Also, since this is an AEG, do I REALLY need a gas tube? Or can I just remove the gas block and tube and be done with all that?

The rail system you linked will not install like the one in the video.  What you will need is this. http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B00238XECI
And you do not need the gas block or gas tube. They are just for look on all airsoft guns.
