For those seeking a longer barrel

- The barrel is too thick for the guarder, stock, and ratech buckings. They can be made to fit, but unless the outside is sanded it's just too tight to work properly. I bought a different bucking with it. The Maple Leaf Diamond bucking, which comes with a different cover for the bucking and the steel tension arm. Despite it being for the System 7, it works perfectly. It also works just as well on the ratech and stock barrels for the LM4.
But don't take my word for it, check out this guy's video on the bucking:
The Maple Leaf bucking:
- The barrel is the same thickness all around. What this means is the hop-up housing and other pieces will be very snug. The barrel can be lightly sanded and the problem is immediately solved. However, there is another issue because of it's thickness. The second groove, where the tensioner and c-clip are snapped into place, is also too thick. This needs to be sanded as well in order for the hop-up housing to fit over them. I am using the ratech EVO 2 housing with my setup, found here:
The barrel will wobble a bit in outer barrel if not secured somehow. Conveniently, it comes with two blue rubber spacers. Not only will these stabilize the barrel, but they also appear to double as a fix for the LM4's jamming issue. The tight fit of the hop-up unit over the barrel already seems to be enough to keep it still inside the outer with just the two set screws, but I pushed one of the spacers all the way down to the unit and placed the other at the very end of the outer barrel. The inner barrel is definitely going to stay put that way.
I have not been able to test the barrel range-wise yet because work is being done in my backyard and I can't get more than 50 feet at the moment. But fps-wise, it seems the gun is shooting pretty hot. My chrono is not working at the moment, but from what I can tell .3s are traveling pretty fast. I should add that this is a DMR build and I also shaved the jet valve significantly. The recoil seems to be a little harder and more crisp as well. I will be able to give better range and fps data after an up-coming event on Monday
Overall I the barrel is very good, and seems to be perfect if anyone is looking to do a "true" LM16 build with a longer inner barrel. However, there is a Systema 7 version of it. That one is incompatible. This is the one that will work with the LM4:

My chrono is weird and drains batteries when it's off. Go figure. ANYWAY, the gun chronos at a pretty consistent 480, and hit 491 in my basement, approximately 70 degrees.

The reason that I am asking is that I'm shooting a consistent 410-420 fps with Elite Force .32g BBs with a 14.5" RA-Tech 6.01mm barrel in my Kriss. I'm wondering whether an extra 5.5" would give me much more. I did a cut down 8" version with the RA-Tech that shoots around 360 fps with the .32g's, so I'm guessing maybe an extra 10% velocity.
