Hey guys i recently bought a 6.03mm tight bore barrel thats 550mm for my KWA CQR MOD 1 and i noticed the the cylinder is ported right in the middle which I'm guessing is for a way shorter gun. Is it necessary i get a Type 0 cylinder or can it slide with a Type 1? And since the Type 0 has no ports would that have any effect on the ROF or any inconsistencies in FPS??

I think KWA discontinued that cylinder, it was used with a M120 spring. Now i believe the MODs use a type 1 & a M100 spring.

Just a guess, 550mm barrel and a KWA .5 cylinder with the M120 spring might work

So if that's the case, he has an M120, and with the .5, he's gonna be on the outskirts of what that cylinder can support I think. I thought the most it could support was a 555mm.

Isn't 550 less then 555? It was a guess, what do you suggest?

As for lubricating the inside of the cylinder and around the piston head, any grease recommendation? I'm assuming if not lubricated properly performance and reliability would be affected ?

And for upgrading the cylinder when i take apart the gearbox would i have to shim the gearbox or anything just for replacing the cylinder??? I'm just a noob at most of this tech stuff so dont mind my ignorance

Type O it is. There are other brands ported higher then the .5. i thought the .5 was used in the SR12 509mm 6.05 barrel. anyway Thats a long barrel. Yeah, clean out the cylinder & the gearbox you can find posts on the forum for that.

Its well shimmed already, keep in mind where the shims are. Inside the cylinder & rubber O ring on the piston head you can use 100% pure silicone 30wt shock oil, it works fine.
100% pure silicone grease on the cylinder head & air nozzle is a good choice.

Even with a type-0 cylinder that 550mm barrel might be a bit much..
