Is it possible to reduce the velocity on a PTP 1911 Mk3?

Currently my gun is shooting 351 to 358 with 0.25g, and I'd like to drop it to under 300 fps with 0.20g BBs.

The gun is virtually new except for holster wear; less than 200 BBs through it.

You can put in a Danger Werx Flute valve.  This will drop you 40-60 FPS typically: http://www.airsoftgi...roducts_id=8342

After that, you can cut coils off the flute valve spring.  This will significantly reduce the velocity also.  Bit this is a trial en error procedure so consider yourself warned.

Noob question: Where would that "valve" install? Is it part of the poppet valve in the magazine, or is it blocking the air passage somewhere in the gun?

It's in the cylinder. Part #8....the spring is part #71: http://www.kwausa.co...6_1911mkiii.jpg
