I have been having cycling issues with my KWA M17. The pistol is short stroking, not fully cycling, and spewing gas. When it does fire I have to cycle the slide by hand to reset the trigger and load a new bb. When I initially had these problems I rebuilt the pistol with new factory parts from KWA. I replaced the following parts #19,20,23,27,75,78,79,81,82,84,94. I have recently found that if I only partially fill the magazine it will cycle properly but only hold enough gas for 6-8 shots. Is it possible that my issue is the magazine gas release valve? Maybe it is worn and getting stuck? I have 3 mags, the issues persist with each mag. Any help is appreciated.

From what you're describing, the hammer is not striking the valve with enough force anymore when the magazine is at full pressure. You can try modifying your current hammer spring or get a new hammer spring and see if that fixes your problem.
