Hi. I know there's already quite a bit of stuff out there on what barrel the km16br has but it's 3 years later now and I was wondering if it has changed yet. So my question is: does the km16br still have the quality Japanese inner barrels as the sr series? Or has it changed? Thanks to all who reply!

The SR Series has the Japanese Barrels.
The Basic models have barrels made inTaiwan, which are excellent btw.

The KM16BR more than likely have the Taiwanese barrel.  But with that said it's still a good barrel.

Ok thanks. Is the km16br barrel better than a promethius? Or if i wanna upgrade the barrel, what brand would be good? Could you say a list of brands?

Prommy barrels are considered among the best.
Depending on your skill level at working on airsoft guns, I suggest holding off an a new barrel for now.

Focus your attention on the Hop-up Unit.
- Try new Buckings.
1. Lonex 70 Degree.
2. G&G Green
3. Maplle Leaf possbly, as these are getting more and more good reviews.

- Experiment with Different Nubs, both after-market and home made.

- Try Flat- hop and R-hop.

- Experiment with a Mega Teflon Mod.

- Spend your money on quality heavy ammo, .30 and up.

All of the above will dramatically increase your shooting performance an save you a lot of money in the process.
If you go into the Gearbox, add a Full/Type-0 Cylinder and you gain effective distance and aover-all range.
