Could a real steel forward assist parts kit fit on a kwa lm4?

No. They have different dimensions. With the exception of handguards, grips and stocks, no real steel parts will fit without modification.

Elx, he has a KSC version. The forward assists are totally different specs from the USA versions.

the reason I want to know is because I built a entirely new upper and all it is missing is a forward assist and dust cover. I have all the parts for a KWA lm4 forward assist except the two pins.  they also need to make the dust cover parts, because I would like a functional dust cover.  sadly KWA has not restocked these parts on their web store for months.

Have you tried calling them? Often they don't post things on the website. If they really are sold out I'm going to be very disappointed. I need one of the FA assembly pins too.

AFAIK Both the KWA and KSC LM4 have the same forward assist specs, which is incompatiable with with the PTS MKM, and both incompatiable with the Real Steel part. Modding the MKM to fit RS forward assist is possible, but not from the LM4, at least not reliably. In both cases you'd need to enlarge the forward assist port on the upper, as the RS has a larger diameter plunger.

I got a Guarder steel FA for KSC and it was significantly longer than my stock LM4 one. I've been toying with the idea of trying to modify it to fit.

Then I stand corrected. Beach would be right as the KWA LM4 has a shorter upper then the KSC. The PTS MKM also have a short upper, but the extent of modification needed might be different for the LM4.

I'm hoping that all that I need to do is cut out a portion of the "flat" middle portion and JB Weld the front and back together. It's more cosmetic than anything so I'm not too worried about strength.
