Hey guys, I love my new KWA RIS and just finished painting it!  Shoots great and is a all around great gun.  If it weren't for the reverse threads and difficult removal of the upper I'd have no complaints and that says a lot!  I appreciate all the work that has gone into the realism of this rifle, it is very close in weight in feel to my real AR which makes it a great training tool.  I've been playing at http://www.usairsoft.com/ which is a amazing field and a team of refs that keep the game fun.

I've painted my KWA twice and made a couple video's that I'd like to share with everyone.  Hopefully it helps and always remember to read your manual.

Yes I know I sound like a dork but I'm getting better.

Welcome to the forums... Paint job looks great!!! Not sure of the warranty on a painted gun... But to be honest you have to pay to ship it and be without your gun for a month or so, for me I'd just fix it if it had a problem, but thats me...

They make such great guns I figured if anything went wrong I'd fix it or have someone else fix it.

Paint jobs are fun.

Here's my KWA (AEG) and my real steel firearm.  Nothing fancy on either.  Krylon Fusion Camo paint.  Sand as the base layer then random streaks of od green and foilege with some black sprinkled in.  I've got to get my new LM4 painted up and setup properly to mimic my real steel.  Just waiting on backorder mags :/

Real Steel pic.  Now running an ACOG instead of the micro dot.

With as much money as I've spent on just my LM4 and pre-order of magazines for it I could have built a bare bones AR 15
