Hi,

I did a few searches on the forum but I did not see this topic covered.

I am having an issue with the 1911 PTP 21rd mag.  I'm noticing a tendency for the BBs to lock up in magazine.  Typically three to five BBs seem to compress together and lock within the top inch of the mag.  I can loosen up the bbs if I eject the mag and have something to prod them with. I'm using Bioval .30g BBs, they have been running fine through my LM4.  Due to the difficulty in finding retailers stocking the mags I only have the one that came with the weapon to test with.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

JB

Are you staggering the BBs?

My Mark I M1911 is the old, reliable single stack version but experience with "double stack" magazines in my KWA M9-PTP indicates that the BBs need to be staggered on alternate sides to ensure reliable feeding.  Hang ups are very rare with my M9-PTP though.
