Hi all,

I've had my SR7 for a while and the screw holding the mag release button (Part 205) keeps getting loose and recently so much so that it's almost falling out during long games. Elmer's, gorilla and hot glue aren't holding up. Is anybody else experiencing this and should I go for some other sort of adhesive or a new part somewhere?  Thanks

Try a JB Weld or some epoxy.

A drop of Blue thread locker will work you.  Don't use anything to strong, as this screw will need to be removed when the gear box is disassembled.

Oh me and my stupidity, never thought about getting the gearbox out.

There are usually little tubes of LockTite at the hardware store checkout where live.  Enough for several applications.  Use Blue, not Red as the red will require severe heat to crack open and Blue should be all you need.

Sounds good, thanks a lot! Glad this will be an easy fix.

I had the same problem as well... then the screw stripped so I replaced with Echo1 mag release for $10 from my local store... no lock tight and I've never had a problem again...
