Yes sir. Thanks a bunch for the tip. Just waiting for my new bucking and Murder Oil and ill be set. Hopefully switching out the oring and adding the tightbore barrel, and new bucking will raise my fps. No idea why it only shot at 290 fps when i first purchased it. Havent had a chance to rechrono yet

and this was... well not simple

Current MKM
-PTS Rainer Arms Raptor Charging Handle
-LM4 buttstock (i HATE the crane stock just because its the aeg one..)
-RS Surefire SF3P-556 Flash Suppressor

and really #2? noooooo why cant it be #1

terumi56, What parts of the RA Charging handle did you need to modify? Could I get a few photos? I have one and am stumped at where to even start modding this thing.

Also: Jeff: Your cover plate is on backwards! The little indent is facing the wrong way!

What's this "cover plate" you're referring to? I fail to see what's on backwards...?

It's the receiver end cap which is between the castle nut and the receiver. In your photo I can see that it's installed backwards with the little indent facing outward instead of inward :)

Edit: Is that a real steel forward assist and ambi-selector lever Jeff?

I think thats a noveske end plate..or fortis, some kind of end plate that has a QD socket for a sling adapter. So no, its not on backward.

Thanks Boobie, you are correct. It is the Noveske QD receiver End Plate, which has a slight protrusion that allows the attachment of a QD swivel.

And yes, the forward assist and selector levers are both real steel parts, amongst many other.

Thanks! The rail is indeed chopped down from 12.5" to 9". Living in the US maybe it's possible to just purchase the RS MKM 9" rail? That would be sweet!!

It's most likely is possible to purchase the rail from mega arms. I have already purchases the barrel nut wrench from them. If I ever do decide to convert mine into an sbr I may give ordering a try as an option

Jeff- Does the QD swivel protrude into the receiver at all when it is inserted into the end plate? I really want to put one on my Magpul LM4 and I'm trying to figure out if the QD socket will function after the end plate is modded.

on my ptr and pts, I modded the lower to except the end plate. I ovaled out the cavity in the lower with a dremel so I didnt have to mod the end plate. Dremel just enough to allow the end plate to sit flush..

Thanks Boobie, that was my other train of thought. I just wanted to make sure there was no problem with dremeling out the LM4 receiver.

I did the same thing on my LM4, modding the lower rather then the end plate. The QD swivel does protrude into the lower, so even if you do mod the end plate, some material still needs to be removed from the lower in order to fully insert the swivel.

Took the plunge and ordered a Damage Industries slim QD plate today  Once it gets here I will be modding up my lower. If anyone else is interested in a QD end plate DI is having a march end plate sale.

Terumi56, Thank you for responding! That's what I figured I'd need to do. Thank you for saving me from destroying my super nice Ambi-handle!

For those with the rainier arms pts raptor charging handle, have you had problems with the pins coming loose from the blow back?  What did you do to remedy the issue?

Before I installed mine, I removed the pins, hammered one end of each pin to make it oval shaped, and then pressed them into the handle from the top side. Haven't had any issues so far.
