For ages I have wanted to get the end of my km4a1 barrel off so I can fit a fake [barrel extension] without adding length to the gun.
Today I decided it was going to come off or break. It came off thank god.
Now I was expecting to see a 14mm ccw male thread left at the end on to which I would screw my [barrel extension].
What I got was a smaller female thread WTF !.
Does anyone know what thread this is and if its possible to get an adapter for it ?.
Thanks
Si

I think this will do the trick: http://store.kwausa....ider-1-1-1.aspx

It's showing out of stock in the Pro Shop.  I would try calling them or searching the web.

I believe its 11mm + (clockwise). I have ordered a 11mm+ to 14mm- adapter from ebay and will let you know if it fits.

Looking at the parts guide for my ris,  it looks like it's the same thread as the tip where the flash hider screws on.  Is this true?

Yes sir!  I emailed kwa and they confirmed it's the same as the tip!  Happy day.  Thanks for the response.

Now,  is that part glued like the flash hider was?

It should have a grub screw and some thread locker that secures the barrel in place.  So you will need to loosen the screw and use a heat gun to loosen the thread locking compound.

The adapter arrived and doesnt fit :(
I guess it must be 12mm cw to 14mm ccw that I need.

Iv searched everywhere for one.The pro shop is always out of stock.
Does anyone know where I can get one ?.

Sorry to hear that.  I know evike has a lot of adapters,  not sure if they have that size though. I would email kwa and see what they say.

Thanks Jesse I will take a look at evike.I have emailed KWA and they never have any.
It may be easier to get a 14mm cw to 14mm ccw adapter and then re thread it.

Can kwa tell you what the thread size is? That would make it easier to find the right one.

I was told they are unable to supply technical information on their products.
A bit daft realy when all I want is the thread size and pitch.
