I have a ATP mag that will only take enough gas to cycle the gun maybe 3 times. I have tried 2 different fill valves no difference. Anyone know what might be the problem. I have four mags three work flawless but this one will only shot maybe three times and its out of gas. Thanks for reading and any replys.

Hi RC, sorry for the oversight.  Have you tried lubricating the gas release valve?  Also, if you are filling it for 30 seconds, and only getting 3 shots, is there still gas inside or is it empty?  If there is still gas then the release valve may be the issue.  If there isn't gas then it's one of the following:
  • Faulty fill valve (probably not given that you have replace the fill valve)

  • Low gas pressure from can of gas

  • Leaky mag

  • Something is blocking the gas from entering the mag
If this continues you can send in the mag to KWA for repair.

Hope this helps.

Guru thanks for the reply sorry if I came off harsh. I have fixed the problem, I replaced parts 18,19 and 75 and now it works flawless. Would replacing the recoil spring with a metal be of any benefit?

You replaced the:
18 - Impact block
19 - Impact block reset
75 - Cylinder return springs

Doesn't sound like you had a mag problem...please confirm.

If you are asking if a metal spring guide is an improvement? I would say only if it's a problem.  For some it is, for others it isn't.
