So some people use lanyards for their gun, which is all well and good.  But if my pistol falls out of my holster, number one, I'll definitely notice, and number two, it simply won't, in my case (I use a g-code with the hood on the back).  But how about the magazine?  Those pop out all the time, whether you have a hard shell holster or not.

I'm sure you could take a clip of some sort and put it on the end of the lanyard for quick detach, but how would you attach the clip to the mag... anyone got an ideas?

The original M1911 magazines had a lanyard loop on them as well as the pistol and the issue lanyard had two hooks.  Certainly can be done but I'm not sure how you'd do it with a modern pistol, especially one that's filled with green gas.

I doubt you'll notice the loss of your pistol in the heat of "combat."  Just 'cuz it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't happen.  :)  Magazines should not just "pop out" either.
