After playing a few times at an indoor cqb place I've decided to turn my gun into a field gun. I've done some preliminary research but want some confirmation before I pull the trigger.

I've really enjoyed this gun but I feel like the range and accuracy are lacking using KSC .25s. here are my proposed upgrades for the transormation:

Angel Custom Stainless Steel Ribbed Cylinder for 300-370mm barrel

Mad Bull Airsoft Black Python 6.03mm TBB 363mm
http://www.evike.com...oducts_id=24373

I believe the CQRs come stock with an m120 spring, that should put me around 400fps with .2s right? Also will the angel cylinder work? Should I just go with the KWA inner barrel and km4 cylinder?

I would grab yourself a KWA Type 0.5 and see what the performance is like.  From there you can decide on a TBB. The cylinder change will get you 370 FPS +/-.  From there I personally would go with a KM Head 6.02 TBB: http://store.kwausa....arrel395mm.aspx

You will need to do one of two things to add the longer inner barrel:
  • Add a suppressor to cover the inner barrel

  • Add a longer outer barrel
This will take you into the 400 FPS range.

These two changes will easily put you at an effective range of 200+ feet with the proper ammo.

Hope this helps.

Should I ditch the 2gx bucking if I'm going to .3 bbs? Also can I get away with using a stock km4 tbb? The KM maybe slightly out of budget ATM.

I use the 2G bucking with .3's and an m130 spring and have 250' of range....no need to swap.  I did reinforce the nub with a bit of wire inserted into the center.  It's a great little mod.

Yes, you can use the standard M4 barrel.  If you want close to 400 FPS then you will need to use a carbine length not the CQB length which will only yield about 370FPS with the type 0.5 cylinder.

The KWA 2GX bucking can handle FPS up to about 475 (measured with 0.20g bbs) no matter what weight bb you use with a harder nub.  With that said you can also do a flat nub mod much like an Mnub and when used in combination with a V style KWA 2GX bucking you will notice improved grouping and distance.

Concur with gcw360,to get 400fps with your longer barrel, you will also have to change to the higer volume cylinder found in the KM4A1/RIS/16 etc (KWA part #M033), otherwise you will be at around 320 fps.

My son is running and CQR mod 1 with the Angel Custom 407mm with a 6" mock suppressor no problems, stock M120 spring, shooting around 390fps.
