Velocity too high

My MP9 shoots around 420fps with the stock bolt, way higher than the advertised fps of around 360-380, which is the range I'd prefer. Could the stock bolt be defective, and would a new one likely shoot lower? I already have the cqb bolt, but it shoots 320fps, too low for non-cqb.

No, they sometimes shoot hot. A new bolt is no guaranty of 360-380 FPS.  What you could try is cutting down the flute valve spring by a few coils and see if that gets you there.

what about the danger werx flute valve?  that should get you around the 360-380 range.

Probably lower actually.
