Hello,

I've tried the search function but it seems it's a bit to specific to find the right details I'm looking for..

I just ordered my LM4 PTR and hopefully it'll be hear by the end of this week. However I need magazines.

What is local currently in Toronto are:

- KSC M4 GBBR 40R Magazines.

I just wanted to ask the community what they think about this compared to the normal STANG and the heavier PMAG?

The only downside is that they are $80 CDN, but they are in stock. The regular STANG's from a vendor in BC want $60 a piece, and $15 shipping for a pair.

Thanks, Feedback is much appreciated.

Ry-

I've been using the PMags only so far. Lots of people complain that the PMags are leaky and too heavy but in my experience neither of these things have been big issues. Generally the leaks I've had have been due to a bad o-ring or gasket, which is quite easy to fix since the design is so easy to work on. If you're very uncomfortable with touching the insides of mags then you may want to get the STANAG's since they seem to be less prone to problems. But... holy sh*t! $80 per mag?! My PMags were about $60 U.S. each though if I were patient I could have bought them for much less, I just felt like if I didn't get it now I wouldn't see them in stock for a long time :P Also I have not heard anything about KSC vs KWA mags, is there a difference? I know that the KSC and KWA BCG and receivers are a little different so perhaps the mag is slightly different as well? Good luck, you're gonna love this gun :D

May we assume you're getting the US (ATF-approved) version?

Estimated release date is "August".  Put a couple on order.  <-- One retailer as an example.  All the big retailers will probably get them at the same time.

I know right? $80 is steep, that's why I thought I should ask before I buy and see if it's really worth it, @ Chucks pricing I could get two, lol.

Pre-order them (or put them on back order) and they'll be here shortly after you're used to the gun.  The back orders should ship before those ordered after they arrive.

^ not always true, especially since almost no shop has had them in stock for months you could back order them and still be in a line of back orders.
Pretty much if a shop got a shipment of 40 mags and Larry, curly and moe had back orders for 10 each the past month your still sol and waiting. I know a few people how have 10-12 mags on back order all from evike for over a month.

Yep, could happen.  But if you ain't on the list you won't get any at all until the next shipment and then if you're still not on the list...

10 - 12 magazines at $50 each?  I wish I had that disposable income!

Me to and I realy only need two more mags to be happy making me have 6+1 for long games and run 3 +1 for daily games....,, still can't find two damn stanag mags. Mind you I wouldn't mind having like ten and throw a few loaded in a map pac for long milsim ops.
But I would never buy all of them at once.

you could order the mags from EVIKE, and use the 20% off coupons they have (you can find them lying around on the internet) the mags will ship to your door. I personally use a PO box style solution just south of the border (west coast, vancouver BC)

Anyways, Ordered a lot of parts from WGCShop.com Today, including 6 x mags @ 47.xx each.

80$ a mag is non-sense and wen if you desperately need them, I wouldn't pay that amount just not to encourage that kind of practice

I paid my Pmags from eHobby at around 50$ each, stanags are usually cheaper

As for the differences, both will work in your gun. It's merely a matter of taste. But yeah, the PMags are nonsensically heavy. I got 6 on my chest rig and it's a good workout (I'm quite small though)

KSC M4 is different than US KWA's LM4
And ASIAN KWA LM4 has the same specs as the KSC M4

Make sure you read about this (there's a topic explaining the differences)

Enjoy

Thanks for the info.

So your saying that the KSC M4 GBBR Magazines will not work with the USA LM4 PTR'S? If you could please link me, I've tried searching for it.
