I didn't know where to post this, so I figured I would just put it here. As I'm sure many here may know, there are currently some replica acogs with a working fiber optic to illuminate the reticle. However there is no other source of illumination. During a Google search, I have discovered that you can actually purchase small a small vile of tritium. People often use them to make necklaces and such. My idea would essentially be to purchase the acog replica with functional fiber, and the vile of tritium(about $10) disassemble the scope and butt the tritium vile up against the portion of the fiber optic inside the scope, essentially creating the same effect as an actual acog. Has anyone tried this?
