Can I use this barrel:

http://shop.ehobbyas.....

in the ATP? And can I use a threaded m17 outer barrel and a mock suppressor?

Would putting a huge tightbore barrel in the ATP make an appreciable difference? Would using high-flow valves (and maybe an enhanced recoil spring or any other upgrades you'd normally get with these) make better use of the long barrel than a stock ATP?

I'm also thinking about getting a custom bucking for it. any suggestions?

Please respond! Sounds like they would significantly enhance my accuracy/range/fps (so I can go pistol-only in field games and have more consistency in CQB)

The FPG is basically a KWA M18c internally so I'm ASSUMING you can.

Putting a tight bore barrel into the gun will increase the accuracy and increase velocity. If you increase the length of the tight bore barrel that will increase the two factors (accuracy and FPS) dramatically.

Custom buckings used in short barreled pistols don't make much of a difference, if any, at all. I wouldn't recommend going through the trouble of finding one to put it in, but if you must: REAPS makes a bucking for the M17. Here's the link: http://www.airsoftex...roducts_id=6301

High flow valves will increase the fps anywhere from 10 fps to 30 fps at the most... they also use more gas. Consider that when you're playing or shooting on a colder day.

Never tried this, but here you go: http://www.airsoftou...-m17-or-ksc-g17
Just be careful about sticking a can at the end... you don't want too much weight in front where the outer barrel may crack or damage the inner hop up assembly.

Regarding high flow valves, they sometimes require a harder hammer spring which can me problematic with slide travel during the re-cocking of the hammer. Basically, the harder spring can stop the slide from resetting the hammer due to insufficient blow back.

That's very true. Thanks for the pickup.
