Hi,

I'm looking into getting an MP7 but I have so much upgrades I want to do. And I can't seem to make up my mind.

I am looking to make the MP7 as a primary weapon. I play field games mostly.

I have been going through the forums and I noticed most MP7 owners have an inner barrel that's 363 mm long. Where can I get this?

Also found this... Do I need it installed?

What modifications do I need to make the MP7 a worthy field only primary weapon? (I guess this is my main question).

Or should I just stick with an LM4 and forget about the MP7?

I've been using a bone stock MP7 for over 2 years now, primarily for field games but sometimes CQB. Perhaps I got lucky, but so far I haven't had to do really anything to mine and it's shooting .30's close to 200 ft like a tack driver. The gun itself shoots about 420fps on a good day in Oregon, when I chrono'ed it in L.A. it was 460fps. I'm not sure what else you'd want to do to it internally, but in my experience the LM4 requires much more internal work before it can be fielded.

I have both guns, basically what Perpetual Noob says.   I recently ran my mp7 with 0.40s and adjusted the hop up, shoots far, hard and straight. Don't let the short barrel fool you. The lm4 can outperform it but needs to be modified.

The MP7 is an incredible weapon out of the box. It is a BEAST once you make a few slight adjustments. For example, that 363mm tightbore inner barrel will easily bump the velocity up to 500 fps. Get a barrel extension to cover the inner barrel up and protect it, and slap on a quality 1x reticle for small-medium engagements, and a 2x or 3x magnifier for longer engagements. A laser or flashlight won't do you wrong either. 40 rounds, plenty of gas to expend, and a huge gas reservoir, you can't go wrong with an MP7 primary for field use.

I regret selling my old rare KSC MP7, because now I want to make an MP7 only kit, considering a have an LM4 and have run that as well. MP7 is lighter, and IMO performs better out of box than the LM4. Just make sure you run green gas.......

The MP7 is small and compact when it needs to be and the stock extends when you need to make shots really count.

SO YES, it will fit the bill as a primary very well.
