i filled some material off the bottom of the handle as well as the area where the bolt makes contact with the handle so the bolt can sit further forward. yeah i too am not very happy with pts.

That's so weird that you guys are having problems. Usually PTS is on their game. Hopefully these are just first run blues. I know that one of the PTS marketing guys is a member of this board, but I haven't heard from him in a while.

Good to see.  I wonder if PTS made some for the Asian version which is significantly different than the US version?  Just a thought.

+1 mine dropped right in also.

The left side pin was coming a bit loose also to the point where it was scraping along the stock, so i let the pin fall out, turned it over and stuck it in the other way and that seemed to fix the problem.

I just picked one up from redwolf, it drops in, but its a very tight fit, to the point where the friction prevents the bolt from sliding forward without assistance.  WIll have to figure out why this is later.

Mine is not a drop fit.

Upon looking into it, comparing it to my stock LM4 charging handle, the Raptor handle appears to be too thick.  The stock LM4 charging handle has some play when installed, i can wiggle it around a bit.  The Raptor is in there really tight and has no play in it at all which im guessing is why it's jamming the bolt.  I'll have to take a file or something to it and shave some material off the bottom.  Will keep you guys posted with results.

i bought a second one today from airsoft gi and it was a perfect fit. i compared it to the one i got from  wgc and i really couldnt tell any difference. the only thing i could think of is either some were made with a very thick paint coat or that some were made for the lm4 asia version.

btw elx, did filing off some material from your original charging handle improve the function?

both the one from gi and wgc were manufactured in hong kong. and yes just sanding off some paint off the handle greatly improved the function of the handle.

then why did you have to pick up a second one from airsoft gi?  And by greatly improve the function, i'm guessing you mean it no longer impedes rifle function in any way correct?

Sounds like they had some problems with a batch of handles. Maybe the machine applied a thicker layer of paint than they wanted. Hopefully the QC guys have caught it and it will be fixed now.

Elx- How much was your shipping from WGC?

Ok same with mine.  Took a drill with a sandpaper bit to it and shaved some material off the top.  Worked like a charm.  Bolt is now functional but still a bit sluggish.  I figure i'll let it break in a little bit before i decide to take more material off.

I can post pictures if enough people are having similar problems.
