Honestly, not my place to say and it's not the place of any Kriss employees to say either. Give it some time guys and then more can be said, but not right now.
Leaving it at that, so let's please move forward. It's one novelty gun, and it's not going to hurt KWA.

Thank you,

Jim

oh I'm glad to find i have $600 of my money invested in a "novelty gun" and its mags.

Can you at least let us know the situation with regards to warranties, spares etc? There are a lot of people looking at this and wondering what it bodes for you guys and what happens next, will things like the MKV be bought off the back burner?

Again, we will have full support. Don't get me wrong by calling it a novelty, what I mean is that it is not a standard in the gun community, not everyone wants it. I own one as well and I love mine, it's a great gun and we did a great job making it. I have four mags for mine as well and plan to get at least two more...and will be able to.

We will have continued product support, I will be receiving the parts that we have not yet received from the factory very soon.

It's one gun out of our lineup, we have plenty more coming. We will see the ATP Auto very soon and should have the AK-G by summer.

Straight up man, I have wicked love for the ENTIRE KWA line up, and hearing the vector will recive continued support is FANTASTIC! But, from the sounds of it, the entire KWA HK series aside from the MP7 has been shelved by UMAREX, so, the ATP auto and 1911A1 millitary better be big hits lol, i mean, there are 6 guns that need to be made up for in the line that can still carry the KWA name, because i for one do not want a UMAREX gun. My personal opinion, The vector should be replaced in the KWA line with a licenced CZ scorpion EVO, the MK23 should be replaced with a full metal, fully licenced D-eagle, as the only decent GBB out there is the Marui, the USP series could be replaced with a full metal 5-seven with threaded barrel (replace the tactical), a Walther P99 with threaded barrel (replace the compact), and i for one, would LOVE to see a comp ready KWA HI-capa 5.1 (standard USP) and the makarov (replace the HK .45). If those guns ever made the scene via KWA, i would buy each and every one. Another item i would buy the crap out of, would be a gas powered KWA full length M870, or a KWA gas powered Spas-12 with folding stock and semi auto option. I mean, the only metal, multi shot gas shotguns i've seen have been china clones of tanakas, and for KWA to make the scene in the shell-less shout gun scene, would be rather lucrative at this point (for a brand name company at least :P).

We should see the AKG... Soon... which was also said 2 years ago :P I won't hold my breath, but it will be ready when it's ready.

Licensing disputes are always about money and I suspect the HK and KRISS disputes are as well.  The trademark and patent holders want more money once they see how successful their licensed products are doing.  Umarex no doubt pays HK more for the MP7A1 than KWA.

Since we'll never be able to own a select fire KRISS in .45ACP the KWA model was a good stand-in and convinced me I wanted neither the semi-only carbine, SBR, and certainly not the pistol.  Without the capability of select fire the cartridge guns are indeed novelties.  The KWA version, on the other hand is a very fun gun offering BURST in addition to AUTO.

I'm with Chuck. Even more so being in California where everything that isn't a pistol is neutered to the point of being actually less safe to use than the original versions. The GBB Airsoft is more fun than any .45ACP 'civilian' variant Kriss produces. This is a fun gun and it's a shame it won't be produced anymore. I've probably played around too much with the configuration since I'm now sporting a 363mm tightbore and chopped Magpul AFG. It really handles well and I love the industrial design... just wish it wasn't a dead end like my old Tanaka H&K USP. Glad I bought 2 extra mags  , though a Glock style mag would never infringe on a Kriss patent.

This is such a shame.. The is the best airsoft gun I have ever had the pleasure of using. KWA nailed the Kriss build quality is of the highest and it shoots amazing. I am glad I purchased mine I was one of the ones who preordered it and waited monthes. I will take good care of it now and only use it on special occasions.

I'm sorry guys, but until you have run the real steel Kriss civilian and SMG, the KWA is a pale comparison. It is NO where near as fun.  Also the rate of fire doesn't seem as fast as the real steel.

Firearm handling is a skill that I love to work on. I run my Kriss carbine very fast.  Of course not as fast as the SMG. But pretty damn fast.

Also shooting steel targets and paper targets under time is a real challenge. You have ammo management requirements. As well as dealing with the shortcomings of the real steel system.

Here I shot the SMG and SDP at Shotshow.

Here I shoot my carbine at a USPSA local match last June. This style of competition allows me movement, multiple target acquisition and a time based stress inducer. Add to that a 10 rd mag limit due to NY laws. So ammo management is important.

Firearms can be a lot of fun and are challenging to master.  Of course airsoft is fun and has its pros. Such as force on force dynamics.

But don't knock the real steel. Even if you could own a real steel Kriss SMG you would soon realize it is not that fun. 25 rds in just a second or two is fun but expensive. In that first video each mag is about 25 rds. That is half a box of 45 acp. So every two mags is at least $25.

Now two round burst would be a LOT of fun in competition as most paper targets require a two shot engagement.

Interesting thoughts.  Thank you for sharing.  Just and FYI, I seriously doubt you will ever see a KWA Walther....Why you ask?  Because Umarex owns Walther.  Not the rights to Walther, they actually own the real steel gun.

CURSE YOU UMAREX!

A KWA GBB P90 would be cool as hell to now that i think of it. WE only has a clear body proto type that they probably wont go ahead with.

Gas sure....blow back?  There is no bolt to show off.  It would be enclosed so the tacticool factor would be low.

So, there will still be Kriss parts being made but what about the actual Kriss? I already have mine but I am curious.

Oh there's a bolt so show off. the ejection port is in the bottom. And feh, tacticool is one thing, but having a bad a** gas gun is another. No need to look cool, so long as you get the job done, and get it done well. But, if ANY SMG were to get the KWA TLC, I pray it is the CZ scorpion EVO.
