I just found out my bucking is torn.  So off to buy a new one. I was going to order the Reaps bucking from Evike. But i see alot of posts that people use guarder buckings.  Which one should i get before i order it?

The REAPs is for the old NS2 System guns and will not work with the LM4. Get either the Guarder or the Maple Leaf KSC2 or EVO2 setup.

So you dont think it will work, that is the reaps bucking?  It clearly says fits kwa LM4 right on the compatability.  I even called tech support and they said it will fit.  Maybe i will just order both the reaps and guarder one incase it dosent fit.

Well it might, though that looks like a bucking made for a ball bearing style hopup.

I just ordered both from evike.  I will see in a week when they get here.

I don't think that reaps will work. It clearly has the indent for a ball bearing. The new style ones are flat on top, like that guarder.

I see that as per the pic on evike.  I thought i saw a video on youtube that boobie put together and installed the reaps in the lm4 using that ball bearing.  I guess we will see. Thanks for the resonses

Yeah but he modified rhe hopup unit I believe to operate with the old ball bearing setup. Currently hes (and a few others) running the RAT with the EVO2 bucking and arm.

I guess we will see. In his video he had 2 different hop up units, but he wound up using the stock one for the video.  I am hoping to hear from him on this forum, hopefully.

Reaps bucking will take modification to your hopup, you have to convert the new system to the old one. Guarder is a direct drop in and actually works realy well

I would say that the guarder bucking might be the best available. People report that the initial performance of the maple leaf might be better but I have also heard that it is not very durable.

Yep the durability was terrible for me. Approximately 1k rounds and the nubs were gone. The tensioner itself was great though.

Perhaps we could experiment with the new tensioner and a different bucking, like the Guarder?

Yeah I think that's the setup I will probably try once I get around to finishing my new upper. I would love to see someone compare the two buckings side by side

I have a few guarder buckings on order. The blue RAT bucking hasn't worked well with the tensioner for me.

Well i got the buckings today from evike, the guarder and a reaps.  I know the reaps needs a ball bearing but thought it would come with one. I guess not though.  I may try and throw it in and see what happens.  The reaps is alot thicker than the guarder. I mean alot. I will post when i do it with some results.
