Hi, this is the DaTigah with a very important topic to discuss.

From what I have heard, the majority of the Airsoft community says that Walmart brand BBs are BAD. Walmart Brand BBs are known to be low quality, poor shaped, and poorly made, especially those cheap .12s that we all use for our cool little spring guns every now and then. Spring Gun Wars are fun once in a while right? But, I am talking about those .2 gram bbs from Walmart that seem to be decent for the price you know what I mean?

I have two buckets of Airsoft BBs that are currently in my "armory", and they are both purchased from Walmart. Low Price Obviously!

The following brands are brand that I plan to use/not use for my KWA M4A1 Carbine. I recommend higher quality BBs such as KSCs or Airsoft Elites, but I dont want these bbs go to waste now do I.

#1) Big Bucket of Crosman Brand BBs > 5000 rounds of White .2 gram bbs. They look decently shaped and they seem to have a little bit of polish in them but not much. Link below.

http://www.walmart.c...duct_id=9222912

#2) Small Bottle of Cybergun Brand BBs > 2000 rounds of White .2 gram bbs. They look nicely shaped and they have a nice polish on them. I personally like these. Link below.

http://www.walmart.c...duct_id=6527853

OK, Before I ask this question, to those who apply, I ALREADY KNOW THAT THESE BBS ARE Low Quality to many peoples standards.
I ALREADY OWN KSC Perfect .2 gram and .25 gram BBS AND I USE THESE FOR MY KWA M4 BECAUSE THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY BETTER.
I ALREADY KNOW THAT WALMART BBS CAN REDUCE MY ACCURACY.
I ALREADY KNOW THAT THESE BRANDS MAY HAVE INCONSISTENT WEIGHT AND MAY REDUCE/THROW OFF RANGE.
I PLAN TO USE THE STOCK INNER BARREL (6.05mm)
AND I KNOW YOU MAY SAY FRONT AND SIMPLE, " DO NOT USE THESE BRAND OF BBS. PERIOD" JUST BECAUSE OF THE NAME BRAND AND BECAUSE OF FEAR.
YOU GOTTA ANSWER MY QUESTION WITH A REASON WHY OR WHY NOT.

IT IS A MUST FOR PEOPLE WHO HAD EXPERIENCE WITH THESE BBs TO REPLY TO THIS POST BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH I AM HAPPILY OPEN TO OPINIONS, OPINIONS ARE POWERFUL ONLY IF BACKED UP BY FACTS.

NOTE THAT THESE ARE .2 GRAM BBS, NOT .12 GRAM BBS, AND THEY HAVE NO AEG DAMAGING/OBVIOUS/SCARY LOOKING SEAMS ON THEM.

**MY question is, Can I still use the two said brands of bbs for my KWA M4 as much as any other  brand of bbs without damaging my KWA M4 (AND WITHOUT CAUSING LONG TERM/FUTURE PROBLEMS) and still shoot decently fine?**

I KNOW THEY MAY SUCK BUT...I hate wasting things that still can be useful you know what I mean? It sad to throw away these bbs. They look decently nice and harmless.  Just give them a chance. :(

Yeah, The crosman BB's are ok if you are using a low end AEG or spring pistol. I used them with my first gun (crosman pulse r74  see picture below) and uh yeah, there was a jamming problem (I dont know if it was the BB or the gun). They also shattered on contact with anything that wasnt flexible or that didnt have any give to it. Other high quality BB's just bounce, but these just shattered into a million white shards of low quality ;) Moral of the story, if you use them, and your gun jams while your firing full auto, there will be a pile up of BB's in your barrel (if your lucky) or most of them will shatter in your barrel and fall back into your gearbox, and you will have the time of your life picking all the shards out and voiding your warrenty by opening the gearbox up.

Heres that picture of my starter AEG (just for laughs, I know it sucks)

Since i was bored, I decided to do this test where I take a hammer and use the hammer head. it to try to break the bbs and see the shatter remains. I used a quick hammer blow to crack them open.

here are the results

.12 bbs made from China/ Generic BBs -> shatters into little separate shards

.12 bbs made by Cyber Gun (manufactured in Korea) -> shatters into separate shards as well

.20 bbs made by Cyber Gun (this one manufactured in Taiwan) -> flattens like a pancake but does not separate into shards, almost like stepping on an M&Ms candy piece, it splits open and you could see the insides

.20 bbs made by Crosman (made in Taiwan) -> same like the cyber gun one, pancake. Also you can tell there was an empty space inside the bb. no shards. splits open

.20 bbs made by KSC (made in Taiwan) -> flattens as well, no shards, splits open.

This is not a legit test but from what I seen, the .12 bbs can break into little tiny pieces easily. The .20s seem to flatten and deform with minature cracks. the .20s split open so you could see the insides but the dont expel shards like the .12s. Its like stepping on  an M&M, or giving a ball of cookie dough/play dough a quick pound. They crack open on the sides but dont fall apart in pieces.

I have those see through green Cybergun BBs from Walmart. Those don't really shatter too much, but they pancake. It's fun to take my Crosman CO2 pistol and splatter green BBs all over things :P. They especially stick well to stone.

My KWA M4 is able to split KSC .25 BBs in two pieces when fired at some kind of hard surface. I find chipped BBs all over my porch.

Would you use a LOW QUALITY BB on a HIGH QUALITY AEG like KWA?

I know buying high quality bbs can be expensive. But buying high quality bbs is less expensive than having your KWA fixed later on, right?

It's still up to you, whether you wish to use walmart quality bbs or high quality ones. So, good luck deciding.

Plus they have consistant weight and roundness, delievers a more accurate shot everytime. Crosman BB's dont all way the same and they lack roundness

I know everyone is going to kill me for this, I ordered more BBs to stock up for an upcoming skirmish, and they didn't arrive on time. I knew I couldn't last a whole day with one hi-cap full of .25s, so I gave in and bought Crosman .2s... I KNOW it's stupid, but it was my friend's B-Day, so I had to go, and we were going to play airsoft pretty much all day, so I couldn't just sit out. The accuracy was horrible, but hey, I got quite a few kills. That was on the 7th. Today, when I opened up my KM4A1 for the first time, I decided to satisfy my curiosity and check the barrel. Not a mark, scratch, flake, etc. Of course, this was only about 1000 rounds. Any more and I would expect to see damage.

The main reason I gave in is because I already ordered a brand new tightbore, so this barrel would most likely see no more use. Same goes for the hopup.

In conclusion, DO NOT use cheap BBs like this unless you are in a bad situation and don't mind if these damage your gun... I was actually surprised to see my gun not broken or jammed...

Lol, be careful man.

Hey guys, guess what? I bought 10,000 rounds worth of KSC Perfects .20s and .25s from trinityairsoft.com
To my surprise, when I inspected the the bbs  close up, i noticed that there were visible outward indentations which happens to be seems that were partially polished. Also, I found some that some bbs had the physical evidence of being injected or something like that (small and tiny outward mound sticking out slightly or something like that.

It happens to be that I found imperfections in the KSC Pefect BBs. Is anybody experiencing this problem also? If anyone has a bag of KSCs somewhere, try to inspect them for awhile cuz I probably got a bad bag.

I bought three bags of KSC bags: two bags of .25s and one .30. I have yet to find a bad BB from them. Are you sure it isn't trinityairsoft at blame? I'm not one to point fingers at them, because I've never purchased from them. I bought 2 bags from shortyusa and one from airsoft gi. I recently switched to Airsoft Elite BBs only because I heard they were better, but I'm not sure. I trust KSC, and I can only say, get another bag from maybe airsoftgi.

KWA manufactures the KSC BBs.  Call our customer service for the replacement of the "imperfect" BBs.

When I started in Airsoft a few years back, all I had was a KWA M9 (version 1 half and half).

Though I bought one back of Elites at that time, I also got a Crossman bucket of BBs, from BIG5.

They shot fine and I never had a problem with jam or breakage.

On the other hand, they left a white residue on the breach part just below the hopup. At first I did not take care of that, and it started to accumulate. Eventually I had to clean it, before any jams could occur.

I do not see that when using the higher quality BBs.

So do I recommend them? Just like other before me, I would not use anything of lesser quality BBs in the high end AEG and GBB guns.

Yea. I already bought a total of 10,000+ rounds of .20 and .25 KSC Perfects (for my Airsoft Wars of course   )
However I found some of the bbs to have imperfections such as visible, but polished seems, indentations going inwards, and evidence of injection/filling.

Did anybody get crappy KSC bbs? Because they were supposed to be good quality inspected, but it seems like they are not, in my case.

Yea probably, however the bad to good bb ratio is bout like 1 bad bb per every 50 good bbs, or something to that extent. You should probably look at your batch for any bad ones sometime and tell me. Possibly anybody who had purchased KSCs recently may not know that they are loading in some bad ones along with good ones cuz the mindset of the customer who bought them is like, "Oh! It says KSC PERFECT, I assume all the bbs in there are PERFECT". Well just check just in case so you wont damage your gun.

By the way, I do not mean or intend to say crap about KSCs because I love using them, I will probably purchase more after I run out, and they work well with the M4, but still take extra precaution.

walmart brand bbs will work fine if you make sure that you lube up your hop up chamber. You wont have that perfect straight white stream of bbs that you get when you use fully charged battery or a lipo though! haha!

NO... walmart BB's are good for springers only  Its like giving your Ferrari crap gasoline, it will cause it to malufunction... thats the bottom line. Crap quality ammo put into a good quality gun = malufunction :D

there was an airsoft bb test somewhere and KSCs were the pretty much the best overall.  (of course some of the more expensive bbs were better, but not all)

AEs are great, but supposably KSCs are better.  I think I might switch back to AEs, but my local store doesn't carry them.  I asked if they had AEs and he said they don't carry them and he hasn't heard of them!! I thinking, "WHAT!?"
