Are there any ways to boost FPS besides changing the barrel?

A common mod we have done on the LM4 is to shave down the rocket valve. It boosts the FPS depending on how much you grind it down. I'm pretty sure that it would work exactly the same on the MP7.

You can put in a stiffer jet valve spring (or stretch the existing one).  A longer TBB will boost FPS typically also.

Longer TBB
Modifying your rocket valve
I also know there is this barrel extension which adds fps http://www.evike.com...oducts_id=37197

Regarding your recommendation for that power up barrel, to the OP STAY AWAY.  It is a well documented fact that those barrels contain an inner tensioning spring which over time will actually push the barrel of your MP7 back into the gun.  This basically destroy your gun and it would be tough to fix outside of a repair trip to KWA.  If you really want a suppressor get the $25 dollar one from ebairsoft.

I can't really see why you'd want the MP7 to shoot hotter, I mean it's already around 400+ depending on the pressure and temperature. Of course personally I'd be cool with playing GBB-only at 600 fps, given that everyone is somebody I trust. In which case I'd say do rocket valve mods, get a TBB and a longer one at that, put a suppressor on the cover the extension and boom I'll bet those mods alone would get you in the 500+ range.

In general I don't play at local "official" fields, just with a select group of people and we just find other teams of people.  This gun will probably never see an actual field haha.  I have an M4 reserved for when I do play indoor.

Regarding the power up supressor I looked into it after I bought it and explored basically every option.  It's a very nice idea.  However it simply can't be done, at least not in such a way that it could be manufactured easily.  Simply put, the tension required to aline the barrels properly is too much.  The tension can be lessened, but the extended barrel will not work properly then.  At the end of the day guys, don't buy it.
