I was playing with my new LM4 that I just got today and I noticed that the teeth of the hop-up unit were hitting the plastic on the nozzle. This is happening on the right side looking down the gun. I can see 3 clear teeth indentations in the plastic. How do I prevent this?

Also, one of the the teeth of the hop-up unit was broken off. :/ At least there is hope for the Evo II hop-up chamber. Just have to figure out how to take the upper apart.

I'm not sure why this would be happening. Is this a new gun? Is it used? Was it upgraded or experimented on internally? Post some pictures so we can have a better idea of what is going on.

With the hop up it's important to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that the tool and the teeth are lined up and meshed fully together, otherwise you may cause them to break. To help with this, I advise that you separate your upper and lower receivers in order to get a better angle.

Taking the upper apart is no easy task, but it isn't impossible. The forums here have some good tutorials, but you MUST have the right tools, otherwise you'll probably destroy the upper.

The first thing I would check is the nozzle guide in the bolt carrier. See if that is there and working, it could have fallen out if you took out the bolt carrier to clean it of something.
