I think I want the kwa mp7 because of the look and accuracy, but I really like the rate of fire for the mp9. The thing keeping me away from buying the mp7 is that kwa I think stopped making them and I dont know how this will effect the gun. The thing that keeps me away from buying the mp9 is the look, its cool and all, but I think that most people would think it is a bad gun because of the tip. Is this true, please let me know.
To clarify, from here on, KWA will continue to make the HK line including the MP7.  What has changed is that it will only be distributed by Umarex and no longer distributed by KWA.  Also, all Umarex distributed MP7's will be waranteed and serviced by Umarex.  Those MP7's that are still at resellers, that have KWA serial numbers, will be warranted and serviced by KWA.

Its been said already but they're both for the most part, equal. It comes down to which one you think looks better. We can't help you with that, its up to you.

Lats thing, so I think Im going to get the mp7 because of the look, but I really love the mp9 rate of fire. How big is the difference in rate of fire between these two guns.

Not that big.  The MP7s rate of fire is fine for me.

Do u have both.

SO, nothing will be changed on the mp7 because kwa does not distribute it anymore.

Things that have changed: Umarex now distributes the gun: with their own serial number meaning, you must use Umarex's repair service and you get their warranty... the gun cannot be serviced through KWA.

But the gun is the same build and quality as the KWA MP7... KWA still manufactures it so parts are interchangeable.

In other words, it is the exact same thing with a different box. Its like a Chevy truck vs a GMC. Same freakin thing, different badge.

Speaking of which, you beat me to my own response on some other thread Greg. I was ready to give my normal Kwa phone number/hours of operation speech when you beat me to it! I said to myself, "dangit! that's my line!" haha

Because it technically is a GM product.

And this is still a KWA product. I'm upset that KWA won't service the UMAREX serial #s, I would much rather send it to KWA than UMAREX. I don't trust them to fix anything, ever.

I agree with Ben, I don't trust umarex. I really wish that kwa could service my guns if I need it...
