I have owned my ATP for a little over a year without any issue.  It shoots hard and accurate, I love it.

I recently took it apart to paint the lower receiver. Shooting has not been a problem until this weekend when I went to load a magazine and the slide slid off the front. (I was pointing it towards the ground)  If I lock the slide back and then load the mag it has no problems. If I lock the slide back and release it, without a mag, I notice that it wants to slide further than it should.  I haven't had an issue until just now.  I don't think I installed the brass plate in wrong, that controls the slide release.  I need some help.  I appreciate it, thanks.

Hi Kirimatsu, welcome to the forums. I would think it is the plate that secures the slide onto the frame as well. Make sure that's been installed properly and try again.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try this weekend and see what happens.
