Today I accidentally dropped my FPG and the tab on the end of the back plate that secures the stock in place broke off. According to the below diagram it's part C51. Now I can't secure the stock, which makes this gun pretty much useless. What can I do?  In the pro shop there isn't any parts for the FPG. My warranty has definitely expired because I bought this from another guy used. Please please help.

Sorry to tell you, but KWA doesn't carry parts for the FPG because its not KWA's own product, but an OEM for Magpul PTS. I broke the receiver locking latch and still can't get a replacement, had to resort to taping it in one piece. You have to contact Spartan Imports for repair/warranty/parts, and good luck with that. They will not ship the part to you, they will ship a large order to a dealer though, which is useless. Very disappointed with Spartan Imports, makes you realize just how good KWA's customer service is (with models that are their own, not OEMs).

Yah, I know. Like I said, try contacting Spartan Imports, maybe they offer repair parts now. I last tried about a year ago. Maybe they changed something with policy. When i talked to them though the only way was if it was in warranty and i ship it to them. Or to have a local shop, too bad there is none in MI, order a bulk order of them. I would start trying to find at home remedies if i were you.

Part #51 is pretty big.  What part of it is broken?  I assume it didn't shatter.

Epoxy can fix lots of things if you have all the pieces.

I finally found this forum. I was recommended by Spartan. They have no parts and zero support. They were very nice, but blame it all on th manufacturer. They say they can't get parts so they can't support it.
I assume I have the identical problem? Basically, the rear latch is held together by a thin piece of plastic. When you release the latch it all drops away. Now there's noting holding it together.
As someone stated, the gun is useless.
Since its all one piece, it requires replacing the entire top cover. (The manual refers to it as "fwd receiver part#A5)
I tried glue, but there is just way too much stress on that tiny paper thin part.
Very poor design.
So, am I, or are we, SCREWED? Its not everyday I buy a $300 gun that suddenly becomes useless.
I am very frustrated.
Any ideas out there?
Jack

Have you tried contacting PTS in Hong Kong? They can usually supply replacement parts.

I sent an email to this address: techsupport@magpul-pts.com
That was a week ago and still no reply.
Does someone have a better/diff one?
Thanks.

UPDATE.
I received no reply via email, so I called Hong Kong. I spoke with a very pleasant young lady who advised me that the part I need (A5 FWD Receiver) is out of stock. Nice huh?
Anyway, she had me email her directly and said she would advise me when and if the part becomes available.

All I can do for now...

UPDATE...
I finally took matters into my own hands.
With the help of a machinist friend we figured out how to fix the issue.
Basically it involved milling the slot in the retaining latch longer, and drilling a very small (3/32) hole and pinning it. We did all this on a milling machine, but theoretically it could be done with a dremel and a drill press. Total time, under a half hour.
The gun is good as new and only someone looking very closely would notice the repair; and then only if they knew. It looks totally factory. The pin can be easily driven out with a paper clip if you need to slide the carry handle off the gun.
If anyone needs more details, pics etc, just let me know? I'm not going to go to all that trouble if there's no interest. :-)
Just wanted to fill everyone in and help anyone out there who may have the same issue.
Thanks to those kind souls who posted suggestions. If MagPul in Hong Kong ever contacts me that the parts are available, I'll let everyone know. Thankfully I don't need it now, and the repair makes the gun a thousand times stronger than before.
