I received my new KWA Kriss V today and to my surprise it did not work properly out of the box.  With every shot, a bb will roll out of the barrel as if the hopup is not catching.  Hop up adjustments does nothing.  If i shoot at an upwards angle, the bb will shoot out fine.

I took the hop up apart and reseated the bucking but that didn't help.  Any one have any ideas on how to fix this issue? I have a few games coming up and it's pretty depressing to not be able to use this gun after waiting all this time for it to be released.

Try to clean the barrel and bucking from oil..i saw one come from airsoftgi drenched in silicone oil inside the inner barrel. Also check your mags too..the same kriss that was drenched in oil came with a mag that looked like it was dipped in oil. When you clean your barrel DO NOT push rod all the way past the bucking. This will damage your hop up. Clean just up to the bucking. If the bucking is oily clean that with a q-tip and be careful not to bend the hop up arm. And if the mag is oily too disassemble and clean.

Perhaps the same teething problems the LM4 had last summer?  My problems like these were solved with a warranty-trip to KWA.  No fun being without the gun for over two weeks but she's been perfect ever since.

Every Kriss on 1st shipment have been hand tested.

Can you open a ticket on helpdesk so we can get more info?

Thanks for the help - doesn't seem like there is any oil in the barrel.
It also doesn't seem like the teeth on the bucking move at all when rotating the hopup, so I assume i have a faulty one.

I've made a help ticket - hopefully KWA can help with a speedy fix.

Yea... try KWA's/KSC's first to see if there is any improvement.

I just happened to just receive my KWA Kriss back from Evike's RMA service today.  It still has the exact same problem - they failed to fix anything at all.

The problem is the same as what I mentioned above; pulling the trigger once causes the next bb to roll out if it is pointed at any downwards angle.  I have tried multiple brands of high quality bb's, and they all do the same thing.  Adjusting hop up does not work to keep the bb in place.

It took almost a month to get this Vector back for nothing to be fixed by Evike.  I can't explain how frustrated I am at this point.  I also really would not like to spend the $50 USPS wants to charge me to ship this to back to KWA for repair and wait another 3 weeks.

Please let me know if KWA can do anything to help remedy this without me having wait another month and spend another 50$.

I believe Evike's RMA service means you shipping it to them, and then Evike shipping it to KWA... Which means KWA gives you a brand new 45 day warranty after it's been serviced. That means, sending out a new RMA and getting your gun fixed should cost you nothing. But don't quote me on that. Submit another RMA ticket to KWA and let's see if you can get that gun fixed.

We have not received any RMA's from Evike in quite some time, so the item did not come to us for inspection or warranty. Can I ask why you didn't send it to us in the first place? We are the only authorized warranty repair center. No retailer does warranty work for KWA.

Yea.... that sounds a bit sketchy, as far as I am aware ASGI and Evike's RMA service are for returns and exchanges only. I also know from first hand experience that the ASGI team is trained to punt customers back to KWA if they are looking for an exchange due the product breaking within the warranty period. There probably was a lack of communication... when Evike got the gun back they realized you were not asking for a refund, so they sent it back to you in it's original state so they wouldn't be liable for voiding the KWA warranty....

I wanted to send it to KWA originally, however Evike offered to cover all the shipping costs so I went with them.

Can I just buy the whole Kriss hopup assembly from KWA directly?  I figure that would still save me money and time versus sending the whole Kriss back to KWA.

There was no lack of communication whatsoever.  I called Evike and told them the problem and asked for an exchange.  They did not have any in stock at the time so they told me to send it in for repair.  They asked me to do an online RMA request and describe the problem and I did.  I printed out an explanation along with the gun describing the problem.   I have nothing to gain from this - why would it be sketchy?

I think he was saying it was sketchy on the part of the retailer, not you. We have not yet received replacement parts for the Vector, so we do not have any to sell at this time. We have buckings, since they are the same as the LM4. I should be getting the parts on the next shipment, next month some time.
You can always send it over to us if you want us to take a look though.

I am sorry for the confusion Fang, I was referring to the retailers handling of the situation as being sketchy. Unless they were going to forward the gun on your behalf to KWA, then they should have re-directed you back to KWA, IMO.

You really should submit a ticket into the help desk. If you still have copies of Evike's RMA tickets and repair invoice (what they supposedly fixed), I am sure KWA will try to work with you :)
