Does anyone know if a RS Daniel Defense M4 rail will work on the LM4 upper? It seems that real steel rail systems work, however I just want to clarify it. It is for my new LM4 PTS, and would like to purchase an DD M4 "Style" rail system. However, I am rather skeptical in spending a couple hundred dollars for a rail system. If any of you know a replica of the DD M4 rail, I will deeply appreciate it. I have also looked at LaRue replicas and Knights Armament rail systems, but prefer the design of the DD. Thanks!

I am pretty sure RS rails do not work with the LM4 unless you re-thread the LM4. Airsoft Rail systems do work though.
Is this in the wrong section?

Yes, it should be in 3rd party compatibility. But you are spot on. Fighter008, I think the process of getting RS rails on LM4 receivers is detailed in that thread.

Thank you both for your quick and kind replies. I apologise for posting my post in this thread. I think I have decided on the LaRue as its much cheaper and easier to install. Thanks!

Thanks! It's a RS Spike's Tactical 9" BAR rail. The scopes are ACM replica 4x ACOG with an auto dimming mini reflex sight (docter)

That Spike's rail with the semi-protruding suppressor looks sweet!! Did you extend the inner barrel into the suppressor?

Thanks, I cut the inner barrel down and re-crowned it to come to the end of the suppressor. The suppressor is actually about 9" long and I made it myself from an aluminum pole and a fender washer carefully shaped... The inner barrel actually sits about halfway on the end cap (the washer) of the suppressor.

Net- I really like your SBR with the "integral suppressor". It looks really good and kudos for the homemade can.

Jeff- Slick set up, I like it. What flash hider is that?

Netpoc, was not expecting a homemade can, that is awesome!!

Beach, it's a BCM Gunfighter Compensator Mod 0, rethreaded to 14 neg. The cone in the comp actually redirect the expelling gas sideways, creating a nice concussive force for anyone unlucky enough to stand next to it when it is fired~ :dribble:

Thanks. Here's a pic of the front end of the suppressor. Like I said, I cut the inner barrel and re-crowned it to come just shy of the end of the suppressor.Posted Image

LM4 (duh)

Madbull Daniel Defense Omega 9" RIS
Magpul PTS AAC Blackout 51T Flashhider
Magpul Mil Spec MOE Fixed Carbine Stock **
Magpul MOE-K Grip
Echo 1 SPR Gas Block
B-2 Flip Up Front Sight
UTG Flip Up Rear Sight
DBoy Rail Cover with Pressure Switch Pocket

**Everything is as it is named on AirsoftGi, save the one starred item which is not carried in the airsoft market.

All in all about a $600 build but I think it looks sweet and this will definitely improve my GBBR experience, having owned multiple WE's in the past.
