The kydexed pouches are way nice...keeps the magazines securely in place.

Looks great! What's the price for the full 4-pouch rig, or a panel of pouches?

You'll have to contact HeadOn Tactical for custom rig pricing.

Anyone know anything about Alpha Milsim and the set of pouches they are producing. I checked out HeadOn Tactical but i dont know if I am willing to spend $115 on a four mag rig.

I'm not sure about Alpha Milsim. For some reason his post disappeared on this thread.

As far as HeadOn Tactical, he really does make high end stuff. The premium on his rigs are warranted in terms of build quality....plus the fact that nobody really makes dedicated rigs for the KRISS. He also backs up his products. I'm sure there will be others who will come up with their offerings but for now...there's very few who cover this market. If I remember correctly, he's had a few rigs sent to the UK already.

I use mag pouches that were made for p90 and Umg(Ump) mags. Which makes sense because the Kriss Vector and the ump are both chambered for 45.acp.

pouches have kydex inserts to help with magazine retention...also protects the plastic feed lips. Had a back panel made for it which includes shoulder strap padding as 6 mags weigh a little heavier than expected...pics of the full rig when I get it.

HeadOn Tactical also makes single kriss pouches that allow for kydex to be used.

I got the alpha-milsim ones yesterday.  Shipping was really fast.  1 week to Canada.  I bought 2 triples in Tan.  Quality seems fine to me.  Time will tell.  They came with flaps that velcro on if you want.  Also included was 3 bungie cords and tabs which I like.  Each pouch also came with 3 black malice clips.  Shipping was free so to this point I am happy with my purchase.  The pouches seem just a tiny tight so hopefully they stretch a tad with use.  The thicker part of the Kriss Mag just slightly catches occasionally when sliding them in and out.  The slimmer part slides on perfect.  Otherwise the fit is great.  Inside them is a velcro patch so I may grab some kydex holders down the road if sliding them in proves annoying after I have a chance to break them in.  The molle on them and malice clips lined up perfect with my current vest so no complaints there.  I have yet to game with them yet but overall I'm very happy with my purchase at this point.

Has anyone tried the ebairsoft or indeed proarms (http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/rown-1.html) mag pouches yet and if so how did you get on with them?

Oh and finally has anyone tried the HSGI Taco pouches as seen on the real steel thread linked to above?

I have the proarms pouches..and they work well and mags fit good. But I've recently swapped all those out for tactical tailor pouches. And they currently are having a 35% off sale until 5/7. :)

Those proarms pouches are the same ones that aex carries....they also have 3 mag chest rigs available for a decent price. Personally, I prefer Head On Tactical's KRISS mag pouches as they are tailored to my liking. The kydex inserts also provide the plastic feed lips some protection from bumps.

Been reading this with interest as I'm in the same spot.

If I remove the plastic sheath, the extended mags do fit into MP5 mag pouches, so was thinking 2 of them on a HSGI Costa leg rig or such, but I am also interested in the Blue Force Gear Ten Speed MP7 chest rig as an option too.

The BFG MP7 rig looks as though it may only hold to about half way up the mag itself, leaving a good portion exposed.  So am wondering how good the mag retention would be with the jostling the rig is likely to see.

Has anyone tried these pouches yet out of interest?

Thanks,

Paul.
