HI everybody im from nova scotia canada and i just got an atp and it is indeed pretty nice. I only tried it once on this night and it was uncomfortably cold but it functioned to an extent.
If you can tell me what edition/version of ATP this is that would be great.
these are some features.

metal outer barrel.
no threads. Fixed orange tip i believe?
trigger safety.
black writings on slide.
beautiful.

if you can identify the model of atp (new or old or in between) that would be appreciated.
Also what problems may have occurred with this specific edition?

Sounds like its the most recent model, otherwise it probably wouldnt have the metal (black) lettering on the slide.
I couldve sworn I heard that they changed the barrel from metal though? I could be wrong, maybe they just changed the kind of metal.

thats why i am skeptical i thought also the barrel was changed to high impact polymer. most likely because the metal is hard for the slide to push out of the way to go back all the way. ive noticed there is a tough spot to overcome when you cock it

First thing I had to replace on my first atp was the rubber slide buffer. It got old and worn out (after about 7-8 months of hard use). And you probly have gen 2 atp...mine was gen 1 with my newest atp being gen 2
