Got to fire one of the AKG prototypes at the KWA promotional truck at ASGI Black Friday event. It was freaking AWESOME. Sold me on it. Tried to pry a release date out and I'm glad to say that I was told as soon as next month! Back to more technical things, it was like the cooldown effect was non existent. Full auto on for over 10 seconds with hardly a change in ROF. I'm an M4 guy but I'm definitely getting one of these.

Did you get to see the anti-dry fire mechanism? I think a lot of people on this forum, including myself, are considering that the deciding factor for whether or not to buy one.

I'm very glad to hear about the cool down. I think to less its effects is why they did not go with full bolt travel in combination with their thinner FV gas piston. Then again I assume this was without BBs, not sure how that would affect the cycling performance, hopefully someone else knows. If you shot it for 10 seconds it sounds like the dry fire was off. I've shot the prototypes at OPLC Army Birthday and OPLC Route 66, the electric AK's recoil seemed weaker than the LM4. Can you compare the LM4 recoil with your experience on the newest AKG?

I'm a little dubious about the release date. I've gotten early summer, then late summer, then end of quarter 3, out of them before. I sincerely hope you are right and thanks for the update.

AKG's recoil is about the same, if not more, than the LM4's. The short barreled AKG, the 74SU, when you shoulder it, the sights just line up with your eyes and is a joy to shoot. It feels great too. Cool down is very minimal. I'm telling you guys... this gun is gonna be a blast when we all get one (or two!) in our hands.

I got to fire one at a shop in Taiwan when I was there. I had already bought a gun and didn't really want to deal with cbp with a gbb. I cant wait for US release! I WANT IT NOWWWWW!!!

Yeah, I dont think I would try to bring a replica firearm in internationally that way, just sounds like a pain. Id rather just DHL it or something
