sounds like there was gonna be aeg. im so sad now i would have totally baught the aeg model ;_;
Well from the looks of things you'll still be able to buy one, but it won't be KWA who makes it, and who knows when it will be done. I'm not sure how an AEG Vector would work but I think KWA would have been the best bet at a good design... I'm curious if this will mean more resources dedicated to the GBBR Masada. I handled the prototype at Redstorm III and I'm not gonna lie, I have had wet dreams ever since then... the body is so solid and yet so damn light, then put an LM4 mag in there and it would feel perfect. The bolt design looks almost identical to the LM4 so I'm confident that it will have the same great results.

I'm sorry guys, but until you have run the real steel Kriss civilian and SMG, the KWA is a pale comparison. It is NO where near as fun.  Also the rate of fire doesn't seem as fast as the real steel.

Firearm handling is a skill that I love to work on. I run my Kriss carbine very fast.  Of course not as fast as the SMG. But pretty damn fast.

Also shooting steel targets and paper targets under time is a real challenge. You have ammo management requirements. As well as dealing with the shortcomings of the real steel system.

Here I shot the SMG and SDP at Shotshow.

Here I shoot my carbine at a USPSA local match last June. This style of competition allows me movement, multiple target acquisition and a time based stress inducer. Add to that a 10 rd mag limit due to NY laws. So ammo management is important.

Firearms can be a lot of fun and are challenging to master.  Of course airsoft is fun and has its pros. Such as force on force dynamics.

But don't knock the real steel. Even if you could own a real steel Kriss SMG you would soon realize it is not that fun. 25 rds in just a second or two is fun but expensive. In that first video each mag is about 25 rds. That is half a box of 45 acp. So every two mags is at least $25.

Now two round burst would be a LOT of fun in competition as most paper targets require a two shot engagement.

Good thing this is an airsoft forum and we are comparing it to other airsoft SMG's then. That does look like a lot of fun to shoot though.

still think it would be cool to see a CZ scorpion EVO be the predecessor of the Vector. I know ASG is making an AEG, but I would LOVE to see it as a gas gun.

CURSE YOU UMAREX!

A KWA GBB P90 would be cool as hell to now that i think of it. WE only has a clear body proto type that they probably wont go ahead with.
I'm late to the party on responding to this, but the reason why WE had only a clear body prototype and never went ahead with it because the magazine sits on top of the frame. Meaning, when the trigger is pulled, gas would be released and must GO DOWN into the gun, versus go up... gas only rises, so imagine how gas inefficient a gbb P90 would be! Haha

If you read the rest of this topic you'll find the answers you're looking for...

The guns that are out now are licensed and trademarked, but there will be no more made by KWA. KWA has said that they will still offer support for the guns but we still don't know what extent that might be; replacement parts should be available, however magazines are still unclear. If I were in your position I would try finding the other mags as soon as possible, though as we saw with the MP7 things turned out okay and mags were available again, however they aren't technically KWA mags anymore. Buy what you can now and keep an eye out for the stores to be carrying them again.

End of the day i suspect the aeg kriss you'll see will be made by double eagle, licensed by cybergun and feature a v2 gearbox, a thompson mag and kriss vector trades an inch high and visible from 20m, 15m more than the gun will fire.

That is... a surprisingly accurate description of what I might expect it to devolve into. When Umarex got the H&K licensing we saw a huge flood of "Walmart gun" H&K replicas...

Whatever sells, right? Sadly, the market has become how little companies can make for a dollar instead of how much they can.

Actually I was responding to post someone made. That the real steel is not worth getting because it is not fun without full auto. They were comparing real steel to airsoft, I was merely bringing to their attention the issues with such a comparison.

It would be like saying a car is not worth getting unless you can have the racing car version. Sure race cars are fun and go fast and are more dangerous but you are limited to where you can take it and use it. Just like owning the SMG (which very few people can)

So then you have the detained civilian car version. Not as fast or tricked out but you can have fun with it. Like Auto cross events or join various racing clubs.

Same goes for real steel. Everything is a challenge and you get out of it what you put into it. Each has their place.

To be crystal clear on the issue of magazines and product support.  They are and will continue to be available through KWA.

Flashbang is a publication associated with KRISS Arms, no surprize they would pull the distribution rights.

Guys, we denied the last shipment of flashbang, the overpriced magazine. It pissed them off cuz nobody can sell it and they've printed too many. So they tried to make it look like it was their idea. We are fine without trying to sell it, which nobody can. Just hoping to return the multiple boxes that nobody wanted.

Again, thanks Kingsize. Just be patient y'all, I doubt KWA intends to leave their customers in the dark. Although the instant forum rage certainly seems to get a quick response :P
