hello KWA,

I have a friend who loved my 1911 and wanted to go buy one a few weeks ago at a well known airsoft store. and they said that this model was discontinued!?

also another store near me said it was discontinued. and airsoft websites say that also.

Why KWA....why stop producion on a classic, solid, govt issue 1911! and try to replace it with these new modern ptp mark series, why not have both!?. the m1911a1 is by far the best KWA pistol to date, and has never let me down!

my friend managed to get the last one they had hiding in the back of the store. :(

Its a sad day in airsoft...

The 1911A1 is getting a make over, making it compatible (interchangeable parts & mags) with the newer MK series 1911 pistols. ;)

Looks like I'll be buying another pistol. I only want the MKIV ptp as a cqb pistol.
Always prefered the 1911a1 standard. Satan works for KWA and is reading my mind  ;)
Any news on its release date?

Just wondered if there was any news on a release date for this yet?
The NS2 is great, and would love a 1911a1 as well as a PTPMKIV for pistols

i hope the magazine base plate is flat and doesnt have that protector plate, it really ruins the aesthetics for me. a mil spec 1911 would be bad a** something like this http://www.springfie...ory.php?model=7

Found this tasty tidbit of info on Facebook...
"KWA The KWA M1911A1 has been discontinued for over an year. A new version is being designed and will make its debut early next year."
"The new version will have magazine compatibility and parts interchangeability with the MK series."

DUE OUT EARLY NEXT YEAR (2012). Hope this helps.
