Hopefully Kwa can do something about it... mine is intermittently having several problems, then working, then having problems, then kinda working, then not working at all...

I have the same problem also. I just did some tinkering around the backyard. Only went through one magazine and the outer barrel has a hairline split. Hopefully there's an upgraded outer barrel. I do not want to replace it for the same material and go through the same issue again.

gotta say, this whole thing is really frustrating, especially for a highly anticipated (for me at least) 165 dollar pistol

We have to remember that these are first runs though. Mine had terrible jamming problems and I took matters into my own hands to fix it. I know yours can't be fixed like that, but give it time.

I'll just add that although I am not experiencing the problems listed above, I do have two minor issues so far.
  • The slide seems to not be as smooth as it should be.  I've cleaned and lubed the gun but it does not slide as smoothly as my Mk iv.  Cycling is fine, Just seems like there is excessive friction.
  • Half the time the gun locks back with one BB still in the mag.
Overall, decent but at this point I'm much more satisfied with my 2-year old Mk iv.

I have the same thing as your second problem. As to the first one, my Mk23 had the same thing and you just have wear it in.

Noted.  I think a solution for the locking back problem is to sand/file down the stop on the side of the follower.  It must be tripping the catch a little early.

I checked my outer barrel as well, and also found a hair line split; couldn't notice it at first, but there it was right above the chamber.

I also found that the slide release on the left side of the gun is rather loose, so occasionally when I rack the slide back, while the gun is tilted slightly to the left, it would just slide right out. It can basically fall out without me noticing it.

Hopefully KWA fixes these problems.

I am also having these problems, along with the several others listed in my thread... so far no kwa staff or forum mods have chimed in on any of this

I'd cut the mods and staff some slack.  It is a holiday weekend after all and these are newly released.  I think staff is at an op this weekend.

Hey guys, I am sorry to hear you are having some problems. We were all at Lion Claws this weekend and not trying to ignore your posts. Please submit a ticket on our Help Desk so we can get some more information from all of you and resolve these issues. If possible please attach pictures of the cracks to your tickets. And I'm pretty sure the barrels are model specific but I will need to confirm on Tuesday when we are back in the office.
