Is the slide meant to stay locked at all times (even if you tug the slide backwards towards the hammer) until you push the release manually, or should it go back upon tugging (if there is no magazine, or a loaded magazine).

The slide will stay open when there are no rounds in the mag.

But my question is, will the slide stay locked back even if there is a full mag in the gun, and you tug back on the slide.

The slide locks back when you shot your last round.

If you have the mag in and rounds in it, the slide should slide forward, whether you tug it back manually, or shoot a round.

If the mag is empty, and you tug the slide back, it will lock in the back position.

If you remove the mag, and then you tug the slide back, it should go forward.

Are you shooting and the slide locks in the back position, when there are still rounds in the mag?

the slide is locked back, I tug on it with no mag in it, the slide stays back.  In order for the slide to go forward you MUST use the slide catch/release button.
