All 5.56 bolts travel the same average amount of distance. The SCAR bolt has a huge, i guess, extension on the top of the bolt that goes to the front of the gun for the charging handle. The M4's bolt travels into the stock. The SCAR and MASADA's bolt stops at the stock. They all travel the same length, they are just different sizes and masses. The mass is what counts. I can see the Masada bolt having equal or less mass than the LM4 bolt. The way I see the Masada bolt is as a big MP7 bolt.

All that matters for the force of the recoil is the mass of the bolt, the speed that it is traveling, and the amount of distance it takes the bolt to slow down before it comes to a stop. The AR-15 platform slows the bolt down more gradually and therefore the felt recoil is less. If it weren't for the buffer spring, you would feel a lot more recoil, as the bolt would basically slam into your shoulder at full speed. I would assume the return springs on the Masada and SCAR are weaker than a buffer spring.

Yup, I 100% agree. It all boils down to physics.

Force = mass times acceleration. Bigger mass, more force.

No new news. But it is being worked on. Can't say more for now.

Regarding the conversation earlier in this thread regarding MUR uppers ... We at PTS licensed G&P to produce lower receivers using our branded style of billet lowers. We had nothing to do with the MUR upper receiver which was entirely a decision on G&Ps part. We simply licensed lowers to them.

As for "licensed" Noveske MUR uppers by Madbull, if you ask the guys at VLTOR whether or not that is legal for Madbull to manufacture those (VLTOR owns the tradedress of the MUR design regardless of what trademarks are on it), well that is an interesting conversation to have.

Yeah I remember reading about the MUR uppers with the Noveske trades.

An ASA side charger upper would be cool... would definately be unique in the airsoft M4 market....

uscmCorps, do you think one-piece uppers could be available on their own in the future? I'm certain that I'm only one of MANY people who want a one-piece upper for their LM4.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. I'm hoping to see it happen sooner rather than later but it's out of my hands. I've been holding off on cerakoting a couple guns as I'd rather do it to the one piece uppers. That's really a question for KWA and the parent OEM. I'll send a reminder that this should still be a priority to corporate. I'm looking forward to checking out the latest revision to the Mega Arms gun myself.

Did they change it to the MA new geometry?

Funny you should mention that... I'm in the exact same position.

I'm not privy to all the day to day decisions going on. I try to check in 2-3 times a week. It's on the list for the next check in. Though I'm not sure what I'll be able to share info-wise sorry.

We appreciate any information you have for us, and I'm also very happy to know that both KWA and PTS are paying attention to the wants and needs of their users. Part of me wants to make my LM4 badass but another part of me wants to just wait for the Masada... oh the decisions!

Same situation here with 4 KSC/KWA users. That receiver upgrade is a must, I hope KWA realises that. And it would sell like it were free.

Could buy the LM4 and then later buy the Masada as they both use the same mags. I wouldn't be able to wait for the Masada since they still haven't released the ERG and GBBR AK.

You have a valid point; if the AKG and the ERG's aren't here yet then who the hell knows when the Masada will be done. And yeah I already have an LM4 PTS, I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do to make it work like a god. So far I've upgraded the o-ring in the bolt, I'm looking to get the EVO II hop unit, then whatever external upgrades I happen to like. That damn EVO II is tough to find... or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Anyway, with a fully functional LM4 set up all I need to do is buy a Masada since the mags are said to be the same.

Get yourself an RA-Tech 6.01 inner barrel. You won't be disappointed.

I will only get the Masada if it can run both LM4 and AKG mags. But given KWA's track record, we could be waiting years for even the AKG to come out.

I know the real Masada can run AK rounds with a barrel swap, but I thought they used a proprietary mag to hold the rounds?
