I have had a M1911a1 for a year now, and i am having trouble with it. The slide seems to be catching on something just before reaching the takedown notch. I took the gun apart and looked, but i couldn't find anything that looked wrong. I also lubed the gun and all of the parts and i still have that problem.

Also, when i go to shoot the gun, I get off a few shots and then the gun stops feeding, i just shoot nothing. this is kind of hard to understand. The gun will allow gas into the chamber, but it soesn't seem like it is enough to propel the slide back far enought to reload the gun. I don't know what to do.

Already did that when i took the gun apart- no problems there. The gun looks like it should work fine, but for some reason it doesn't.
