hey guys i picked up a spare 18c for parts....

after some cleaning and such it runs fine in semi and is a decent shooter.

but when you flip it to FA it will only run a couple of rounds then kinda short cycles and doesnt chamber all the way.

any of you had this happen before?

is there a certain part that wears out in these for that?

my regular 18c i carry has never missed a beat after quite a few years.

any ideas ?

i am having the same issues with mine however mine half cycles after the 2nd semi auto shot. for both of ours it could be the fact that either the spring is worn down or the spring guide (being plastic) has broke

ive got a good diagram of this thing.....

man there are a TON of parts in there...  which "spring"?

not sure if im allowed to post the diagram here.... but if we are then will post it and let you take a stab at the number.

was wondering if it was an "auto sear" type of thing?

You can post the diagram if you would like.

ok my rookie guess is that its either part 81 or part 265 that have an issue...

81 shows some wear on the top of it..

but if i move 265 with my thumb the set up seems to operate fine by hand.   of course the slide is off when i do this so maybe its a combo of position and pressure?

any experts on these around here?
