The "problem" with the LM4 magazines is they weigh more than full 5.56mm M4 magazines and never get any lighter!  Even with the 0.32gm BBs my LM4 currently prefers the empty mag is less than 1/2 once lighter than when full.

A couple of empty LM4 mags stuffed in a cargo pocket can beat you to death while maneuvering.  :)

Your style of play will determine what your basic load of ammo will be.  The LM4 magazines should get 2+ BB loads before needing to be recharged, the KWA speed loader does an excellent job and can cut your load significantly -- especially those heavy empties banging around in your pockets or pouches.  Clearly if you ain't shooting you should be reloading.  A limit on the number of rounds each player carries makes this a skill event rather than just who can afford to buy the most magazines and carry the most ammo.

I'm going to open up one of my magazines and see if there's anything I can do to lighten it up a little. I doubt I'll be able to but oh well, it's worth a shot since like you mentioned a couple of empty mags in a dump pouch isn't nice at all haha.

I have been thinking about doing that for a longer time. My best guess, at least for pmags, would be to put lightening dimple or grooves on the outside of the reservoir. Thought I don't know what the overall thickness of the wall is. I would need to run the stress calculations to see how deep/much area you could shave.

Been playing CQB mostly. I normally roll with a total of 7 magazines. With a 2 respawn limit, I usually burn through 3-4 magazines (I fill up my standard 40rd mags with 39 rounds).

I had 3 KWA LM4's and a bunch of magazines up until a couple of days back...by a bunch, I mean this much..

LoL. 6 are brand new...taken out of the packing for a lil photo op and stuck back in the pack. They still have the orange stickers in em. haha!

I'm down to two LM4's and 18 mags....13 I'm using.

Those PMAGs really need to come back in stock, I don't care that they hold 2 less and weigh a little more, they just look so sick.

Akira, if it wasn't for me living in Canada, Id sell you mine, or trade you for STANAGS. I wanted STANAGs from the start, but couldn't find any up here.

I agree. Just carry another mag...then you make up for those -2 bbs that you had to give up. Then again what probably matters most other than how you play is where you play. The LM4 platform is pretty awesome for cqb play where you always have cover for when you need to reload/top off.

Looks like I'll be down to 17 mags pending a member's inquiry. haha :P

Agree with it matters where you play. I prefer milsim or real-mils versus paintsoft. Capture the flag against 14 year olds with high capps and unlimited respawn is not the best environment for this platform. I still cannot carry more than 4 mags with all the other crap I have to carry. If there is a break in the game and I take off my rig, I am done. Plus an upgraded LM4 (shaved rocket valve) is more like a DMR anyways.

most of the milsim games where i live limit you at 10 mids..

the strict milsims even less than that...

so whatever the limit is what i carry..

on open plays?  my vest holds 8 plus the 1 for the gun to start out with...  so 9 hi caps for opens and unlimited games..   (my hi caps are always Lonex power mags.. so 350ish each= 3,150 rnds is whats on me at the start....

usually i'll reload whatever is empty at the lunch break.    :-)      average use of around 4-6K on most open play unlimited days.

hee hee.

yeah i read that.. but i just like freaking out the bb counters...  it makes me smile.

the answers the same on my WEggm4(not kwa)... i carry the limit ... or 9 whichever comes first...

the weight is not an issue, its all about the exercise for me & its less equipment than i wear at work daily.
