I dont know. I would be focused on the AK quiet a bit in the business aspect. Once released I expect the ERG series to pull in the most profit. Releasing during the summer is the best time as kids are out of school and being able to play airsoft more means their profit base will be larger if released in Q3 rather than Q4 (disregarding late Q4 (Christmas))
I agree. But I do think the CQR's will grab the most attention because of their price. I believe that the majority of the airsoft community would prefer a cheap high quality AEG over a recoiling amazingly designed ERG for twice the price. We'll see.

Both of you bring valid points...I don't know whose side to take! Lol

Think of them as different markets:
  • The entry level player looking for quality
  • The more advanced player looking for the latest technological development
One product shouldn't draw from the other.  Rather, each product should either gain share from their respective markets or, better yet, expand their market while gaining share.

This is what is known as "GLOBAL DOMINATION!"

Yup of course different markets, but I just think that one may attract more attract more of the publics view while the other may attract more customers and sales.
The CQR will be a very good start up gun. When I started airsofting, I didn't know of KWA, I didn't really know the difference between any brands. I mainly based my first purchase on FPS and whether it had a full metal body. Not the smartest moves of my life.
I hope beginning airsofters don't make the same mistake I made.

Yeah... I think the amount of milsim players that will utilize the ERG weapons will be the same amount of kids being able to afford a (rather inexpensive) KWA AEG. Anyways, great expansion and growth in all markets for KWA! (World Domination)

2 months is a wait. Hopefully I can wait that long. I will be very interested to see what the endurance of the AEG is. My G&G MP5-blowback with a fully charged 9.6V Nunchuck last about 3 mags at full auto using short controlled bursts. I have 1 high cap and 2 mid cap mags and I can shoot the entire high cap mag, a mid cap mag and about 3/4 of the second mid cap mag before the battery dies.

A 9.6 nunchuck in my KM4A1 lasts a full 5 hours+. I have 5 high cap mags and usually shoot 1000-3000 bbs a day. Mostly full auto in controlled bursts. I have good trigger discipline and don't fire hose it.

Maybe your motor is drawing too much power? When I had my G&G blowback m4, I could empty the 450 round hi-cap, two 79 round mid-caps, reload and repeat the cycle another 2 or 3 times without having to change the battery (this was with an intellect 9.6 nun chuck).

You guys can resume your discussion on the AKR/AKG...

Has any one thought of a gas/electric hybrid? The battery could power an electro magnet and push back the bolt and triggering the release of the spring and shooting the bb?....... More to come perhaps...

I think this would add a lot of unnecessary weight to the gun.

im owed 3 minutes having to read this thread. Trevytrev, for your constant posting. i hope you have the funds on stand by ready to buy one as soon as they come out.

as far as caliber style. the ak100 line is for stock length, caliber length and if it has the BARS system. ak 104 and 103 is the number type that could be done in 7.62. just the magazine has to be done. making that gas will be tough but can be done. it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility to do the new AK-200 line coming out. which is just the 100 line with more tweaks and rails up the wazoo. the russian army may end up using those since the an-94 was the most likely replacement of the kalashnikov but has not been heavily adopted.

Haha no, not mine. KWA's. They let me and Outlaw play with them a little bit before they head out to RSE. I wish it were mine. Those are pre production prototypes, and the ones that Hikaru fielded at RSE.
