Hey, I was wondering if I could get some help with an issue I'm having.
I have a MP9 that I purchased in August and I haven't shot it much. At first, semi-auto worked fine but now when I pull the trigger it dosen't release the hammer. The problem seems to be that the trigger dosen't pull back far enough on semi to engage the mechanism.
Any ideas on how to fix? Also please don't say "send it in" beacause it's pat warranty' plus I have dissasembled it.
Thanks.

Does it fire in auto ?

I had this same problem . I just removed the upper and wiped down the slide area and relubed it. MIne went back to normal after. But after thinking about it , Your problem might be in the lower. I saw someone get a bb stuck in the hammer chamber and caused it to bind up. Are you sure its not being blocked by a foreign debris?

It does fire auto. I don't think anything is obstructing it, but I have a look and give a good clean and let you know if that works.

Try a good clean, maybe the parts are stiff from sitting too long.

No dice. I gave it a good clean but I think I have found the problem.
When you pull the trigger on semi, the spring in the back dosen't pull the metal tab far back enough off the hammer, therefore it won't release.
It seams to be a factory defect.

Nab the spring with a dental pick and lightly tug at it.  Something must not be assembled correctly.
