Yes a one piece upper is major. But they left a lot off the plate with this one? Why so they can gradually offer upgrades? Not good that thing is Fugly as hell!

Saw the Mega Arms Keymod LM4 and the ACR at SHOT 2014. They expect to hit market later this year. Didn't look at the ACR much, but the Mega LM4 is technically not a monolithic upper due to copyright by LMT on the name Monolithic. That said it looks as if it were a one-piece upper. The front end of the upper rcvr is redesigned to make I look like a solid one-piece upper and the only way to tell is by close inspection. The rail is Keymod on the 3, 6, and 9 O' clock faces. Also it does not look like the one seen in previous posts. Reference photo by Stickman:

Sorry to rain on your parade kai. The pic you posted from Stickman is the same design as the pictures posted in the last couple pages.

When people are discussing the one piece upper they are referring to the receiver itself, not the "monolithic" rail and receiver. Current LM4 upper receivers are comprised of 5 main pieces. This design is incredibly fragile. People had hoped to be able to use MA LM4 uppers to retrofit their  LM4s.

Personally, I've given up hope for an improved LM4. The platform has been out for quite a while now and all KWA has bothered to fix is the bolt catch. The hop-up still sucks, mags are still as leaky as ever, and while the new AEGs have one piece uppers there's no word on new LM4 uppers.

Well, at least the new LM4's have nice parts... Maybe one day we'll see aftermarket uppers from RA Tech?
