Hi
I got my new KWA Hk45 today. Really nice Pistol!
Short Question:

Is it normal that the Barrel has some Play and Wobble when the Slide is pulled back ?

The Slide and everything else is rocksolid without any Play

A few other Users told my their HK45 has the same Barrel Wobble ?

its normal for Semi Auto Pistols right ?

Thank you

The outer barrel should wobble just slightly. It should have very little play, but not much. As long as your inner barrel is secured, you shouldn't experience a problem.

When the slide is back the barrel will wobble. The bb leaves the barrel before the slide moves. As long as it's relatively steady with the slide forward it will be fine.

Ok. I understand, Thanks

I have another Question about the Safety Switch.

Without the Magazine i can enable Safety if the Hammer is cocked or at first Position.
But i cant enable Safety when the Hammer is Down.
It works again when i pull the Slide back, but when i  dry Fire with over the Trigger (Double Action) the Safety wont work anymore again.

For my Understanding this is the normal behaviour and the RealSteel works similar, a lot of Guns
cant enable Saftey when the Hammer is down (Ar15...) ?

Or should the HK45 Saftey work in any Case and everytime, cocked and uncocked ?

I hope somebody can clear it for me ?

PS
Sorry ,my English is still very bad

Crowley, your English is far better than my German which is nonexistent!  What you described in your post is exactly the way the way the HK45 (KWA version) is designed to work.

You can shoot double action so long as the hammer assembly has been engaged and set by racking the slide.  At this point the safety can be engaged.

If the hammer is dropped by dry firing and the slide is not allowed to cycle (no mag in gun or mag empty of gas), the gun will not fire and the safety can not be engaged.

I personally have never fielded the real steel HK45 so I can't confirm if this is the way the real gun would behave.

Perhaps someone here can chime in...Chuck?

All of what you said is right gcw.

To my understanding, the HK45's safety lever was supposed to be designed just like the 1911. The hammer has to be down for the safety to be engaged: cocked and locked. If the hammer is forward, that is because the gun has been decocked, or the gun was just dry-fired. When the hammer is decocked, you cannot put the gun into safe just like the real HK45, and must rely on the double action trigger as your safety. As long as your hammer mechanism was primed by cocking the gun once, you can carry the gun decocked, but have to keep the gun on fire mode (it's a "safety" feature) and the longer double action trigger pull acts as your "safety."

Of course, the main safety is the one between your two shoulders... your head!
