Only a couple of weeks left in Q3... so I assume these have been pushed back to Q4? maybe even longer? Does anyone have any information? I have a bunch of cash burning a hole in my pocket and I really want to get one of these new AKGs!

Let's give it until the end of September. I know we have all grown impatient but I'm sure it will be here soon! :)

I want it now however, it been delayed for over a year now, why did they tell that they had a near finished product to ship out last year but they did not, it was not approved by the gov't until after the announced release date, I'm about to give up and not buy a KWA, ever again, purely because I don't want to support this phantom product or its fraudulent creators

post scriptum- what the hell happened to the sphinx 3000 from 2 years ago?

I literally have money sitting aside for this thing. I will keep it until the end of Q3..which is when KWA said it would be released. If it isn't out by then I will go with a WE gas AK and upgrade the internals. I think they are more focused on pushing out that Kriss right now due to that gun having more hype. Poor decision in my opinion and really disappointing how KWA doesn't keep their customer more up to date.

Well I saw KWA today at my local retailer today, got to hold/fire the prototype AKGs again, and Hikaru said they want to release all the models by the end of the year. The models in the little "showroom" they had were the AKG-74m, AKG-74su, Kriss Vector, MKV, 945c, RM4 Scout, and ATP Auto. So, most of these guns, INCLUDING the AKGs, will HOPEFULLY be out by Krissmas time so we'll all have something to wish Santa for...

TREV-Do you want it now....or do you want it right?  These things take time and rushing a product is no way to satisfy the market and the demand that is being generated

It is probably a production issue as opposed to a design problem.

From what I've seen the demand is decreasing. Between no updates, WE and GHK both releasing new GBB AKs, and even Izhmash getting into airsoft, KWA is losing future sales every day. Hype on last so long before it starts rotting.

Quote for truth...even their lm4 was kinda a disappointment. Let's be realistic, most ppl have lm4 because of the gas efficiency and it uses gi/pmag. If anyone can somehow modify we guns or viper/inokatsu guns to use kwa mag reliabily I bet kwa will lose more grip on the rifle market

I honestly feel that the lm4's target audience was law enforcement and military training, not airsofters. Hence KWA's PTP and PTR marketing. It is also competing with the new Vega Force and GHK kit, but we are straying from the topic. I really hope the AK's comes out soon, but the only thing they really have going for them that is unique is mag gas efficiency. So I guess no official updates, I know back in March at OPLC Route 66 they were saying late summer sooo any time now.

IM DONE, I quit, I'm finished, no more, non plus, no mas, I GIVE UP ON AKGs, like all KWA guns the first batch is gonna be sh!t and then I'm gonna spend more money getting it fixed and have it still not work because it it the entire design. KWA is like Mercedes, they're nice but the stupidest things just will not work and have the most bizarre issues. I quit KWAing, they have betrayed me, for many months, and I will not be lied to for another year, see ya when the decent AKGs come out, I expect the 2nd batch, so about July next year, at the earliest

Ps, GCW- I want it perfect and 12 months ago, period, no exceptions, no excuses
Pps, yes as was said earlier you did lose a sale

That is really such a large over-reaction I don't know what to say.

Do you know of the game Half Life 3? Or Episode 3? Most people are furious that it hasn't been released and Valve havent even said anything about it. But the true gamers, they'll hold out. You know why? Because they know when it gets released it will be the best game ever made.

When the AKG comes out, it will be worth the wait. And what KWA-Odd breakages are you reffering too? The first batch of KWA's always brake? What? Obviously there will be some flaws with the first time the product is mass produced and bought en masse. And if you think KWA will care about your post... You are wrong. They will finish the AKG and it will be a hit, and then you will buy it. Then who will be the fool?

Do not let your indignancy get the better of you.

I think the main issue here is KWA giving their customer a release time frame. Then not meeting it without any reason or further information given to their loyal customers.

Valve did not announce a release date for episode 3 then simply just not deliver and say nothing. You can't really compare the two situations in my opinion.

....then you have the base that would be upset that KWA is not releasing ANY release info. Unfortunately, the fact is with consumers there will always be a group upset no matter what a company does. I just learned to add a QTR whenever a company gives a release ETA.

True Valve has not given a time frame and KWA has, the comparison is still valid because it compares loyalty of the user (or fanboysim) Portal 2 was delayed 3 times before it hit shelves.

Sorry for the double reply. On my phone.

Yeah I can agree with you there. I just think that KWA would increase sales by keeping their customers informed. When Valve delayed portal they made an announcement. KWA should do the same.

Drama and Fanboy-fanaticism aside, what could be the hold up? They were ATF approved, the demos seem functional, and KWA has learned a lot from the LM4 release. I can only assume some part was wearing down way faster than it should have, and KWA is attempting to reinforce/reduce/fix the issue before the first batch gets out.
In regards to first batch issues, that is for KWA's quality control team. The customers should not be the Beta testers.

That is true, either way I will welcome an AKG with open arms! Wether it be november, or july.
